  • Wow people still commenting on this, to clear things up... Srt4 went stg2 with toys before he installed everything he found out it had a boost leak it was hitting around 10lbs or so stock, so from a dig I pulled him. I have since gotten an Lnf and have a shitty video of my gms1 only ss vs his stg2 w/ toys and a magnaflow exhaust. Fixing the leak and stg2 made a massive difference compared to how the car ran before. And with how cheap you can get srts for I'd like to pick one up in the future to

  • well i havent been beat by and srt4 since my car was stock i have a stage 3 ss with other mods and i walk srt4's and i still get an easy 35mpg haha FTW

    Niiice. Before I wrote mine off I had the full stage 3 install with toys. A few bolt-ons. The thing with the SRT-4 that always impressed me was how well the damn thing launched. Especially for a fwd. Sounds like you have a little monster brewing. Any vids?

  • Just so y'all know this is my Balt and at this time we were both stage 2. Srt had slightly higher boost than stage 2 tho

  • @cblt2007 stage 2 goes for around 200-400 for a nsrt and comes with a bigger turbo, injectors, fuel pump, and pretuned ecu. the difference between the two stage 2s is substantial. a stage 2 balt is about even with a bone stock srt. but with an srt stage 2 theres no chance. the tc balts are really the only ones that put down competitive stats. but thats a neweer car :)

    I was pretty sure the Stage 3 was the SRT-4 kit that provided the bigger turbo. Stage 2 had the Turbo toys option (bad ass set up) but I thought that was just a few more mods to the fuel system and intake. I bought the stage 3 with toys and had it installed for $4,900 at the dealer. Put me to over 350 whp with 100 Octane. The SS Turbo can reach 330 whp with an intake and tune alone. Either way, all three cars kick ass and IMO the SRT-4 has the ballsiest sounding 4-banger period.

  • @srtallday umm the stage 2 for the balt is under 400. And i think u can get them for around 300. I dont think a srt stage 2 is that cheap. And it would be pretty close. Rip it apart idk. Srt prolly will win. The srt-4 are amazing cars no doubt some of the fastst 4cylinders built those years. But pretty sure a stage 2 balt and srt are pretty close till 3rd. And the srt may pull a car. But for cheaper i dont think so. But idk wat a stage 2 consists of for the srt

  • T/C cobalts are fast cars, as fast as my srt for sure. but i've never lost to a S/C cobalt.

  • I owned an SRT-4. Before I did stage III I raced a cobalt SS Turbo which still has a slight edge over a stage 22 SS S/C (I own an SS Turbo now) and bone stock my SRT-4 could comfortably run with it. I was runing 13.9's to 14.1's with the SRT. SS would kick more ass more often if not cheap Pirellis on the S/C and shit conti's on the T/C. My SRT launched, wheel spin and all better than the Integra Turbo I raced in my video. GForces made a world of difference. Both cars kick ass in my opinion.

  • @sleasy01 just to be fair here. a stage to balt only makes like 240-260 depending on supprting mods. and if your a stage 2.5 your probably making around 280-300 depending on supporting mods lol. my bro owns a srt-4 hes prolly about stage 2 and i have a cobalt ss 2.9" pulley 42.5lb injectors stage 2 clutch, 3" dp and catback exhaust, and we havnt raced yet but it should be a pretty even race. im thinking im about 260-270 whp with my mods. but to be fair race a turno nalt stg2 and see:) lol ncevid

    cai means it's no longer stock and my stock SS Turbo which rapes Supercharged Balts is race to race with a stock SRT. Dodge underrated it by posting the whp. It actually makes more than 270 bhp stock. 10 more than the Balt. Both run 14.1-14.3 averages stock and both are capable of mid 13's stock. You'll never see a Supercharged running less than 14.5 on a good day with a good driver stock. So please. State facts. When I had my SRT stock I ate Supercharged Balts for breakfast.....

    Supercharged has many great qualities and twin-charged it'll give anything in it's class a good run, but lets be real about it. The SRT and the Balt are neck and neck in a straight line. However the SS Turbo would and will rape the SRT-4 on a road course and as a comfortable, quiet daily driver any day. Also has way better fuel economy. The end.

  • @MrRamrod1337 Cobalt SS S/c is 205 HP @ 2900 pounds. Stock SRT$ is 270 HP @ 2800 pounds. They are rated under 240 or whatever but make 223.7 at the wheels stock. Stage 2 cobalt SS S/c with intake exhaust headers and tune, keeps with a stock trans am and pulls on stock SRT-4's. I have video proof. Now STFU and upload some proof tough guy.
