"Dachshund, Weiner, Basset"... a lot of different names ! in France, we call these nice doggies "Teckel" (teckel à poils longs for dogs with long hair, teckel à poils ras for short hair). What is the true name ? I think there a little differences... The video is very fun ;-)

Yes, you're right. In fact, in France, a Basset is the dog you can see in the American serie "Columbo". The detective has one dog particulary... big and very lazy ;-)

Yikes, Ultra Kawaii! You spelled it wrong- it's actually "Wiener dogs" meaning, in German, "Viennese dogs", from Vienna (although I have no idea what the Vienna connection is), not "Weiner" which would mean "Crying dogs"....lol

nother tidbit of info- a Dachs is another animal in german (too lazy to look up what it is in English, so have a go!) and "Hund" means "dog" in German. Obviously there IS some kind of connection to Vienna. Interesting.

NO they are actually pretty good,i had one,but i left her with my grandma where i used to live,she had 7 puppys shes old now ^^ she was the best dog that i ever had! :]

My grandmother has had 3 dachs, all bitches, since I was a kid - two were really calm and submissive, didn't make much of a fuzz, but the third one was a real hothead who barked at everything! All of them were very playful and cute though!
