what are you talking about? It's clipping because this video was recorded on a mobile phone....

I recognized that sound right away from when I used to play my roommates base thru his stereo. (And here Im using *play* in the loosest sense of the word.) I think thats caused by overdriving the pre-amp. Is that right? The effect is called clipping because the amp or pre-amp isnt able to reproduce the full sine-wave input, so the tops and bottoms are clipped off. Youll note that the higher-pitched notes arent distorted that badly. Need to get some heavier equipment, girls.
