I never met him, but I met someone who did - at the Lennon public remembrance in Santa Cruz, CA, after he was killed. This guy told me he met him and Yoko on the Morro Bay beach around his LA period. I wish I was so lucky. I played his part in a 60's copy band while they were still recording. I still can't hear his music anymore without being overcome with emotion. He was much more than a musician, that much is clear!

Oh my freaking gosh! There are sure a lot of execllent John Lennon tributes. This one seems especialy good. There are tons of gorgeous pictures. The song is lovely too. I don't think I can distinguish voices of diffrent Beatles yet. However it sounds like John is singing. If he is, it really increase the awe effect.

John Lennon died in late 1980 and in August 1981 MTV was launched in America.I often wonder how an artist of such stature and strong political conviction as John would have maintained his popularity and uniqueness had he lived on in the 80s as music became more shallow and everything was image oriented.I believe he would stayed true to himself and we may have seen him creating albums much like Dylan and Neil Young are making these days.

One of the things that amazes me about Ask Me Why is George's guitar playing. Especially from 2:05 to 2:07 and also 4:05 to 4:07. Those parts are what make Ask Me Why my favorite song, the guitar part George did there. The thing about George's guitar playing that amazes me is that he was only 19 when The Beatles recorded Ask Me Why. Only 19! Even then, and always, George was an amazing guitarist.

I never cared for the song "Chains" until I listened to it again recently and recognized George's guitar playing. Now I love listening to Chains. I love George's voice too and his harmonies with Paul. He didn't get to sing enough in my opinion but thenagain he was in a band with probably two of the best singers ever.

I agree with you. I think John is the most facinating of the Beatles and he loved Yoko Ono very much, she did nothing but returned his love. He's not the only Beatle to married a second time, George divorced and remarried and was happy. Yoko was John's soul mate and if he was still alive I think they would still be togeather.

I agree that this is was of the most beautiful Beatles songs. I hadn't heard it in a while. When I first saw The Beatles on the Ed Sullivan Show, I was in love!!! The love songs they wrote in the first few years after they came to the U.S. cannot be equalled by anyone. Of course, they wrote beautiful songs always. Your video definately captures John at his genius of a man. I always loved John Lennon from the first time I seen him on the Ed Sullivan Show and heard his voice belt out I Wanna Hold Your Hand over the families Hi-Fi. I was 9 years old. He has enriched my life, as well as millions, with his music, good humor, and his outspokeness. He was killed as I was serving a year in the Aleutian Islands and the Beatlefest we had on that Island for 3 days was remarkable. Grown men crying for a fallen bro.
