The original singer is ちあきなおみ, a wonderful Japanese singer.

Is the title "喝采" or "喝彩"?

I think should be "喝彩" cos the definition of "彩" is ［本义］颜色。｛转义］：精美、多样；光荣、光彩 whereas ''采'' means 摘［本义］and 搜集、选取［转义］。

For reference only, please correct me if I am wrong.

In my opinion

In Chinese, "喝采" and "喝彩" are both right nowadays.

But, since the song came from Japan originally,

we should use the kanji(漢字) title in Japanese.

So, it should be "喝采"(かっさい, kassai).

However, "記念"(きねん, kinen) should be translated to "紀念",

because in Chinese nowadays, "紀念" is right, and "記念" is wrong.

So it is simply the question of translation, kanji has much difference from Chinese words today.
