2008 and Vista - Setting Up NAT and VPN Server - Part 1

To: @crankinrankin2511 Well this isn't the only reason to why I would want to set up a VPN connection. I also host a file server that I want to have access to on the go and I want to be able to have a Remote Desktop Connection so I can disconnect the server from my monitor.

I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 setup at home. On campus I am not allowed to use their network for various things like playing video games(minecraft). Can I VPN into my server and tunnel to play video games through that? I host the minecraft server on the same server if that means anything. I appreciate any help you can give me.

To: @athlon9 There's no need to set up a vpn connection. Why don't you just simply use RDP or set up a free open source VNC Server on the machine that hosts your game then using any vnc client for pc,mac, android phone or iphone/ipad you can vnc or rdp into your computer that runs the game. Mocha lite is a good free app if you want to play your fav games on your phone or iphone/ipad. Google UltraVnc Server

Do you know how to configure the following:

1) Vista work PC - 2 NICs + VPN

2) Server for home use - 1 NIC

I need to be able to RDP into my home server while connected to the VPN.

The parts at the begining with setting up the server, no. You'd need Windows Server 2008. The connection to the server, yes. You can do that.
