OK, if anyone of you professional coders read this: Please implement MIDI controlling to your video editor!1! It would be awesome to use e.g. the MPC pads to controll sequences to be able to syncronize them with sounds/FX etc. Just like in ableton live with Trigger/Gate/Toggle/Repeat! K, thx!

the quality isn't as terrible if you use the camstudio lossless codec or the codec used to encode the original video, having it set to the original size and fps of the video helps too, as for audio, wax supports wav, which sucks, but it's better than no audio

I converted mp4 to avi via Any video converter. Then I attemped (succesfully) to shoot it using Wax. But then I hit export. And it failed. :( Anyone has idea why?

@thegoodhen i am also experiencing the same problem, i am beginning to think may be wax works on different system platforms, i have both win xp, vista and 2000....neither any is supporting the wax program when it comes to export!

@TsopiLordConqueror the audio you are trying to put in is invalid...delete the audio and then add it in with the video you made in wax in Windows Movie Maker...I use AoA Audio Extracter to get the audio from my video clips...(hope this helped!) ;)

I just downloaded this and played around with my most recent video. I'll need to spend a little more time to familiarize myself with it, but I did find it to be much more user-friendly than Windows Movie Maker when it comes to zooming and panning: some effects I've been wanting to use with my videos for some time now.

OMG! Thats sooo complicated compared to sony vegas pro 8!!! search on youtube sony vegas pro 8 download, and there are some videos which tells you how to download it for free! Don't download this crap! it installs the very first windows media player automatically! and puts it as your default player! use something professional - use sony vegas! Hope this helped!

Hi there, I wonder if you can help me. I can't get the audio to work in my Wax program. I'm importing .avi files that have audio and a little visual file and a little audio file is popping up like I'd expect but when I play he video in the program I can't hear anything. Are you sure Wax imports sound files? It seems to only be compatable with my AVI's, not MP3's, which I always used for editing in Windows Movie Maker before it started crashing repeatedly. I used to always delete audio in clips and use my own audio by putting them in the bar below the clip, but i've tried-and-tried and can't find out how to just import MP3's in my WAX program... Help?

While WAX is supposed to support MP3's, I've had similar issues. It's very particular with what it works well with. If MP3's don't work, try using Media Coder to convert the MP3 file to WAV and then see how it works.

I used it up until about two weeks ago when I was able to purchase Camtasia. You'll just have to mess around with the settings until you get a better quality, but if you look at some of the videos I did in the past, you'll see the quality isn't as good as it is now. But since I was able to do it for free, it didn't matter :-)
