Literally the only way this will stop is if people stop buying them. I personally think DLC is a cool idea, it give developers time to add to a previously released game. But, having to pay for a products you already bought is complete bull shit.

One time I played Bioshock 2 without internet connection. And I wanted to try out the multiplayer, I did for less than a hr and then *gasp* I had to start over on the storyline. Hours and hours of connecting and downloading to all that crap. I still have the game for display.

The funny fact is ... I got WRC 2010 for PC with B rally cars on day one with the game .. Xbox users had it as DLC ..wtf thats stupid shit .. Thats planed .. they make a game than cut whats for DLC .
