  • Goddamn. I'm sure I'm not the only girl (or boy...shit) who would've KILLED to be that skull head.

  • "Cracked Actor... The Song off of Aladdin Sane.... Released in 1973.... the perfect song to have while having sex and doing the things that happen in Cracked Actor."

    From David Bowie and RCA.

    Enjoy the orgasmic music.

  • HAHAH at 2:53 when he starts wiggling his tongue! I don't know why but that actually did make me laugh out loud. Not to mention the fact that he's intensely making out with a the remains of some dead guy...

  • I love the harmonizing at 1:57. This is awesome footage.

  • Wow Bowie, drugs much?

  • He was huge cokehead in the 70's early 80's, Ha, we all were in that same boat in NYC, never knew who'd I meet at my local guys place.

  • I *hate* the fact that this show was never filmed and released in it's entirety!!! What a missed opportunity, this was waaaay a head of it's time and all we get from it is bits and pieces in the 'Cracked Actor' documentary.

  • @freakineye So with you on that one!

  • I effing love this man, I don't care that he was on cocaine at this time, except for the fact that it might have hurt him :( But he is still effing amazing!!

  • this is just so good!

  • DROOL WORTHY! Now excuse me while i go take a cold shower.

  • Has anyone got a recording of the Laughing Gnome?????

  • you can find it on the cd "The Deram Anthology"

  • that last comment was intended as a reply to bowiefanperson :)

  • This is why I subscribed to YouTube.

  • DROOL! Way Too Sexy! This version is so0o0o much better than the Seriuos Moonlight one! ooooh Daaaaavid!

  • SEXY! :O

    I love this song. ^^

  • i love him and everything, but i'm glad that he learned that he doesn't have to look weird to be awesome.

  • That was the times kid I remember I was there ...PS don't tell the kids

  • I know......!!!!!!!! Sometimes I feel funny talking to my nephews about this idol and this concert. Dont know why..... but sis and I and friend had a great time at this show..hahah!

  • I saw this show!! I was 13. OMG! First concert and have love him ever since. Saw him 8 more times after that.. Big fan! Big!! Any 70's Bowie trivia, throw it at me I'll know it. Still turns me on and I'm 46!!)

  • lol. We could throw back and forth Bowie trivia, I know it all too...and I'm only 17. You are so frigging lucky to have seen him live.

  • Oh I know! Thanks. You have to see it to really appreciate the voice and things going on on stage. What a theatrical piece of work .... It was incredibly fun.

  • Wasn't he sick during this concert. Like a cold or something.

  • He was heavily addicted to coke at this time.

  • yea, I knew that also.

  • I agree with bowiegirl. He was addicted Bowiefanperson, he didn't have a 'cold.' That 'sniffling' was from coke...

  • OMG! He is so drunk! But the slurring adds to the sexiness, doncha think?

  • not drunk. high on coke

  • Did he actually record "Alladin Sane" and "Diamond Dogs" at same time? Wouldn't surprise me, the guy worked incessantly through the seventies!

  • no, Aladdin Sane was still Ziggy. Diamond Dogs was not.

  • no, diamond dogs was recorded later, all at once. when he got tired, he snorted cocaine

  • LOL!! An incredible 4 albums in the space of 4 years!! no wonder he started Snorting!!!

  • hahah yeah, that could drive anyone stardom-crazy!

  • Bowie is so undescribingly amazing.

  • The best Bowies live performance and video.

  • Other than Station To Station this is my favourite Bowie song. I can remember when this programme was first shown in the seventies. This was shown in '74 and I only had one Bowie album (LP) at the time. It was shown again in '76 and i went and bought all his back catalogue after seeing it a second time. I sat up all night reading his album reviews in mu music papers to decide what to get first. I heard bird's tweeting, looked out the front room window and saw it was daylight.

  • I think it's cool that even until now, whenever he does "Cracked Actor" he does this bit. He did it on "Serious Moonlight","Glass Spider","Sound & Vision"...I guess it's a sort of tribute...

  • I always thought the whole skull thing Bowie did was kind of neat/interesting. XD

  • The skull scene is from Hamlet - Shakespeare. When Hamlet's discovers his dear friend (Horatio?) is dead, he holds the skull and talks to it.

  • The skull scene is a bit disturbing, but hey.

  • I ment when the light turns green and he wiggles his tongue.

  • Not if you were there!!!
