@erisi236 You probably cried when Rip died, huh? Alucard didn't really take in to consideration that she was a woman and made quick. Nah! he really took his time and enjoyed her company. I loved the Japanese voice actress but also loved the english one as well. English dubb are usually crappy but hellsing did pretty good with it's english cast. Crispin Freeman IMO is the best english voice for Alucard but gotta give respects to Joji Nakata, that dudes sadistic laugh is by far the sickest.

I don't know anything about Hellsing, so please permit me to ask- why does a german (a woman no less) have the name Rip van Winkle, which was the name of an american short story about a man with the same name who slept through the revolutionary war?

That actually makes sense, because the police woman's name is "Seras Victoria" when it would've made more sense to have that reversed. I guess after introducing several new characters, he just picked up names from stories written in English. So maybe her name has nothing to do with the story?
