Regarding clapping during a performance and whether clapping is rude, there is no specific rule. It varies based on what country one lives in, if the area is rural or metropolitan. Naturally there are some performers who get distracted. If this happens they need to take steps to improve their tolerance levels, because it will happen again. Clapping is a sign of appreciation and should not be looked down upon as a sign of ignorance. Often times audiences are glad to have a company come!
Nice,the music always does it for me but her port de bras appear not so sure of itself. She is'nt going through the positions gracefully enough.. port de bras is all about the back not the arms. It has to look effortless

@maisumnomundo the performances of the characters in the land of the sweets are just as much for clara and the nutcracker as they are for the audience. it's the gift to her for killing the mouse king. duh. that's why they're watching it too, not sitting backstage.
@maisumnomundo if you've ever been to a concert or performance the actors find that rude, and sometimes annoying. the only reason clara is clapping is because all the small variations are basically a thankyou gift for her killing the mouse king. and theyre not sitting backstage its them sitting on a "throne"
The most charming and delightful performance of the pas de deux I have ever seen. So much personality and presence and such wonderful energy together!

the dancing was excellentt, but the fishdive was too sharp. And the noises off as well as the applause during the pas was just rude.
