Im interested to know how these dances are written, does a choreographer take a piece of music and write the dance to fit it or does it work the other way round, or does a musician work in collaboration with a choreographer
@brinwins All those options are popular. But in my experience (and as was the case for almost all classical ballets) the third is the most common. Music is commissioned by a choreographer for a work that they are constructing or plan to construct and then that musical score is then re-worked/adjusted/developed as the dance is approaching it's final form and nearing it's premiere.
I saw them live last Thursday.They are absolutely amazing!! I recommend them! You must see it!!!:)
