  • Great vid, definitely worth buying one of these, but that track in the background? Totally fucking shit.

  • Rly???? u actually test it and dont show the screen for its veracity??? o cmon.........

  • I'm gonna start digging in random flower pots now in hopes of finding one of these.

  • Whats up with everyone hating on the music?, haha seriusly its not that bad.

  • The music, like the SM58 is epic, don't get rid of it.

  • well mine broke when it dropped

  • why that fucking anoing guitar music on the (not so) back ground....just die will ya..

  • get rif of the fucking music ffs

  • Bull S**t

  • Hey! How about doing it over again, but this time without the ridiculous metal music playing in the background! We'd love to listen to what's going on, but that noise you call music is a distraction. I don't even know if your SM58 even works or not!

  • great mike crap music!

  • I shall now dig through every flower bed next to the street in look for a new mic

  • son, what are you doing?

    Washing my microphone!

    Okay

  • ^_^ hackintosh laptop running Logic 8 or 9....

  • @PattyWhomperOFFICIAL Not really. It's a 2007 Macbook Pro 17".

  • dude??? how the hell do you break that?!? you should drop it from a skyscraper and drive on it with a asphalt-flattening car :P

  • Of course it is going to give a sound difference if you keep dirt in it that blocks the soundwaves....

  • its just the same sounds

  • Ha Cubase 4 mouse mat

  • OOOHHHH SHIIIIIIITTTT It actually WOOOORKS ! FUCK ! It's sickest mic test ever !

I got mine today. I won't bury it ....I do believe you guys. :-)

  • i'm lucky and using original Shure SM58)

  • HOLY CRAP THAT'S AMAZING!

  • nice backing music :)

can't find it anywhere though :(

  • haha sounds dirty, I was wondering why no one jumped in and said "There's no clarity in the vocals, it sounds muddy..."

  • lol "sounds muddy" xD

  • I'm sure it sounds dirty...

yep, that's another shit pun quota filled for the day.

  • Shure SM58's have too much feedback at high volumes.....

  • You do know thats actually bullcrap, Or you are talking about really insane levels of volume. THe sm58 (measured) at 105db(a) (Dutch standard of maximum volume) if propely eq'ed dont have any feedback at all. And as with all systems, its not the mic that is the problem but the crappy amp's or tables used.

  • Is it good 4 rap

  • It's good all-round. Yeah. why not.

  • What song is this?

  • hey guys im thinking about buying a sm58, except i do screaming/singing... is it still good for that too?

  • My friend uses an SM58, and his vocalist is pure scream. Trust me, it works.

  • yes, its the industry standard vocal mic. im no mic expert but i think she would hold up good..

  • yes it great for any type of vocals and alot of instraments

  • YES! i use a sm58 and i do scream... it has yet to fail me... diffidently a grate buy! i have never had a negative problem

  • hey man, did you ever had a positive problem? :-)

  • o ha ha :P

  • Thanks a ton man, I was looking into screaming with it :P

  • @ExhaleTheLight Is it a good mic for screaming? Cuz I was thinking of using one for screaming too.

  • @nopity4acowardx Shure vocal microphones are for singing, you know, people with talent? What a poseur...

  • @NightmareSkates Screaming doesn't take talent? Why don't you try screaming bro, the right way, and not hurting your throat? And who are you trying to diss the kind of music I like. The music I listen to requires way more talent than any of that mainstream bullshit that people like you are brainwashed into listening to. And if you're trying to say poser, you don't even know me. All I wanted to know is if it was good for the music I like, I didn't ask for you to be rude.

  • @nopity4acowardx Aw, I struck a nerve didn't I? That's too bad about your insecurities...I'm a classically trained vocalist and I'm about to complete my bachelor's for vocal performance and music theory. I have the knowledge and expertise to rightfully say that your "screaming" doesn't take talent. I know your type, I listen to heavy stuff too. But, is "screaming" timeless? Is it versatile? No. Get back to me if you can compete with Robert Plant, Rob Halford, Ronnie James Dio, or Freddie Mercury

  • @NightmareSkates I'm not talking about that kind of screaming man. Check out Phil Bozeman from Whitechapel. Those are the kind of vocals I do.

  • @nopity4acowardx to answer your question, yes the SM58 is perfect for screaming. I use it for false chord screaming and it works perfectly. and just ignore that other asshole. he doesnt have a clue how much talent it takes to scream

  • @MrZefaulka Thank you man. Yeah I just wanted an answer that's it. I use false chord screaming and I want a good mic to handle it :)

  • @nopity4acowardx my advice is to not use distortion though. it makes your screams sound very different and you wont be able to pull it off live

  • @MrZefaulka Okay. Thank you for the advice man.

  • @NightmareSkates Just because youre a "classically trained vocalist" and are about to complete your bachelors degree in vocal performance and music theory doesnt mean you have the right to say someone elses music doesnt take skill. Dont get me wrong, all the vocalists you mentioned are amazing frontmen and will never be forgotten. Maybe they have more skill than Mitch Lucker or Phil Bozeman but that doesnt mean Mitch and Phil have NO skill. You cant say something is easy until you do it yourself

  • Yeah, it works for all type of vocals.

  • I don't care if it survived "rain, snow and freezing temerature" i care if it works! please upload a vid that shows if it does work.

  • This is lame. How about showing the mic actually working?

  • @JoshSitar yeah not that I don't believe this, I have a couple that I bought from a closing down club that used them for live shows in detroit for a decade, and they are hit up but still sound good. but listening to this lame metal instead of the actual sound is weak.

  • I'm a singer in a hardcore band for 5 years now, bought a SM 58 right away, and it's still as good as new!

  • totalt jävla meningslöst att göra en sån här video om man ska köra den där musiken i bakgrunden.. Nu får man ju ta ert ord för det för det gick ju inte att höra om den faktiskt funkade.

  • Maybe you could cut out that horrible background music and we could ACTUALLY HEAR what's going on...?

It's a worse torture test than being buried in a flowerbed...

  • Exactly what I was thinking

  • @resophil Just becauseyou dont enjoy it it doesnt mean others dont ;)

  • @resophil

    Maybe you could just STFU?

  • wow....

  • haha thats mad!

  • impossible.....:) hahahahaha crazy !!!!!

  • You've got to much money???Give me something!!!:D:D

  • what do you mean?

its just a 100€ mic. Well its 100€ but its about the same

  • SO CRAZY..

    My 58 was broken..

    wuwuw....

  • lol, you guys are crazy

  • Cool..

  • shit pommesfrites! :D
