  • NIPCC, the Heartland Institute and their "Climate Change Reconsidered" are all funded by Exxon-Mobil.

    Look it up.

  • The tea parties have been hijacked by a bunch of jerk-offs.

  • your missing the point here.

Its been pointed out all over the place. The tea-parties werent hijacked.

It sounds like a good idea for conservatives so they want the parties to mean something, but the fact is that it never was grass roots. Its known to have been started by political groups with agendas.

Not organisations equivalent to moveon or acorn even, i mean politicians, conservative media, and think tanks.

  • Why do you think it coincidently only bioled over under obama when bush was raising the deficit and they stood for 8 years of that

Only when it looked obvious that McCain was going to lose, the conservatives start acting like they hate to spend money.

If you will look back, before McCain made that move to "suspend" his campaign to run to washington and pass the bailout, the republicans were on board, but as soon as they saw mccain being ridiculed they bailed themselves and started fighting it

  • One more thing please stay down south : don't come up north you bunch of nuts..

  • Tea bagging LMAO . Wow these people are dumb. I never thought I would say this ,but some people in this country are getting dumber by the day. I always knew that republicans were in the closet.

  • wow...what a crock of shit.

  • OMGZ I DONT WANT TO PAY TAXES FOR THIS PRESIDENT /CRY WAAAAAAAAAA

go suck a fucking dick you pieces of shit, seriously this isn't laughable this is sad. This was created in a THINK TANK, funded by who? hmmm The only grass thing about this is all the grass that these morons have been smoking to believe this horseshit

  • I just don't think anything that comes out of a "think tank" can really be considered "grass roots".

  • conservatives never were good at being activists and they tend to be top-down folks, where the money seems to be.

So to them, just having citizens show up at an event is grass roots and they dont think too much about where the support is coming from.

  • It comes from normal citizens , people are just as angry at republicans.

  • Mike Pense, the evangelical satanist piece of shit

is the official GOP poster boy for HYPOCRISY.....

and it is becoming obvious except to the blind

    dittoheads......

  • Most of these people don't even know what they're protesting.

  • one person commented on how proud he was that the party he went to didnt have any agenda, describing it as more of a rant-fest.

I have heard multiple reasons from people. Its really a disorganised mess.

  • With Fox News promoting this for weeks and high rollers in the repub party paying for everything, THIS is the best they could do? Laughable.

  • yeah, this protest is so sloppy that one teabagger said there were 2 different organisers making 2 separate meetings at the same establishment at different times.

Thats not how you have a protest. It doesnt show much solidarity at all when they cant even talk to each other properly.

Its so sloppy you wonder if they could actually accomplish anything.

They could learn alot from liberals how to be real activists.

Nobody holds the governments feet to the fire like liberals when we are unhappy.

  • People are making a mistake believing this is a left / right paradigm & are allowing "team" affiliation to get in the way of critical thinking.

Taxes are necessary to maintain infrastructure, defense, & human services; but our tax codes have been tampered with. We are not, as a whole, fairly taxed. Some taxes are unconstitutional. Corporate America thinks it should be exempt when the opposite is true; and they've brainwashed the working class into picking up their enormous tax burden.

  • Tea baggers = Sour grapes Repubs

lol if they think anyone believes this is all about taxes.

  • Understand that the system we have is inherently flawed, and there's a good chance nothing can be done about it.

Hope that cheers you all up lol

  • And with regards to the bailout. No one was complaining a couple years ago that the economy was inflated with money and jobs that never really existed. Just as now the economy is actually about were it should be in terms of productivity, everyone thinks it sucks, and demand it be returned to it's former fictional state, which will inevitably lead us back to where we are now, another 10 years done the line.

And so the cycle of ignorance and greed continues.

  • this guy looks like a typical fascist corporatist careerist with no sex life taking revenge on life because of his little dick and other contempts

  • "Free Market" think tank.....yeah. right.

  • We need to have a douchebag day.

  • "...something happened last fall when the people saw the prior administration and the Democrat Congress willing to get out our grandchildren's credit cards and bail out bad decisions on Wall Street...Blah blah blah"

Do we raise taxes now, or do we pass the burden to His grandchildren?

His teabag is so fucking twisted and confused. It doesn't know left from right.

Let it steep in boiling water Guantanemo style.

    Happy Carribean tea, mthrfckr!!!

  • "...something happened last fall when the people saw the prior administration and the Democrat Congress willing to get out our grandchildren's credit cards and bail out bad decisions on Wall Street...

  • I just read a report from the US Public Interest Research Group stating that in the last fiscal year this country lost 100 BILLION to corporations avoiding paying taxes on their profits by offshoring. This has cost the states BILLIONS this year and this country 1 trillion over the past 10 years. Hows about some real anger and a TEA PARTY OVER THIS ISSUE?

  • wont haopen these tea baggers dont worry about the corps, like murdoch

  • PLEASE STOP saying this is about RACE... I went to the Tampa Rally...it was just hard working Americans ... Black, White, Republican, Democrats... All just sick of taxes.

The two most ironic statistic I've seen today...

50% of American's think taxes are too high...

50% of Americans pay all taxes... Translation, if you're paying... your pissed.

  • AlmostAlwaysSmiling: You're right. It's about people, not what team they happen to cheer for. I attended a rally in Indiana where folks from all walks of life-- Libertarians, Democrats, Republicans, brown, white, black, young, middle aged, old, middle class, & poor (if the rich were there they kept a very low profile)-- came together to discuss corporatism, socialism, democracy, what the Constitution says about taxation, how we're unevenly taxed, and what it might take to balance things out

  • No one likes paying taxes, and yet everyone expects the government to provide certain services, and complains if they don't meet the standard they expect.

  • niemanickurwa: people understand that a certain amount of tax is necessary to maintain our infrastructure, defense, and human services; but it's become painfully obvious that certain sectors of our society are bowing out of their obligation to contribute (the biggest culprit being corporate America) and as a consequence they are slowly suffocating the middle sector--small business and the working class-- with insurmountable debt and taxes.

  • Translation:

    the president Black,

the good ol' boys are fading,

Sour grapes on the repub side,

I watched some of those tea parties,

and all I see are those angry white republicans how were calling Obama a terrorist (and worse) in those McCain-Palin rallies.

  • Tell it like it is!!!!!! AMEN!

  • No one listened when citizens complained the first time and then there was another bailout! This is govt out of control, both republicans and democrats.

And the stimulus, to think you can fix an economy that was battered by too much borrowing and too much spending by more of the same is ridiculous.

  • Kaptur and Kusinich were against the bailout, but repug allowed these megacorps to develop too big to fail, so lets not insure people or vehicles, yep no more driving cars, and if you cant insure the house no house, split up the megacorps the repug allowed to develop

  • Too big to fail is BS and was used to scare the sheep in congress. There is more than one insurance company.

The alternative those bozos are putting into action will without doubt cause a failure of our currency. The whole economy will come to a screeching halt when it happens. Now that will be a systemic failure.
