Its Winter, November, Its Stuttgart, Germany? Even 10ft/sec. flare is acceptable by regulations. The pilot here is not using flare nor autoland for good reason. We cannot see the runway, plus dont forget tire pressure, tıre tread condition etc. You are not a pilot so forget about it but if you are interested check ALAR notes or Boing training manuals etc. You think flying a passenger plane is a joke, a pilot flying 737-800 and doesnt know what flare means?

Hi guys, am a student pilot, what I've learnt is that a hard landing isn't a terrible landing AT ALL! We pilots, just had to do it at times, even if the weather looks clear, but sometimes the wind might be very windy, low leveled sheared winds which causes crosswinds, etc. Respect those pilots, if you think you could do better snap a video of it, NO PILOTS ARE STUPID ENOUGH TO LAND THAT AIRCRAFT HARDLY ON PURPOSE.

Und erst später könne sie solche Passagierflugzeuge fliegen. So sind die Türkischen Piloten tatsächlich ehemalige Kampfflugzeug piloten u.a. f-16 .

I once read a comment critisizing THY pilots, saying that they almost miss the runway while they're trying to make a smooth landing. This one is a little bumpier but I've never experienced anyone like this during my many flights with THY.

It shows a video of a Turkish 737 making a hard landing. Seriously, compare this to an average landing, you would notice this one is slightly bumpier. The people in the plane probably felt that, there was no "smoothing" right before touchdown.

I cant believe half of the people that rated this expected to see the tail blow up or the wings to fall off so they classify it as a "nice landing"

@burschti sorry to break your motivation on this, yet need to tell you that this is a normal landing. I'm not a pilot but my friend is a 737 pilot and told me there's a misconception about a landing called "smooth landing" mostly by passengers. This type of landing is much safer than a wishful smooth landing which could cause a hydro-planing on wet surfaces. This might not be the case here but he says the first impact should be strong enough to have the maximum grip.

Umm this aint no hard landing. This is a proper landing. Passenger usually think only "greasing" the runway kinda landing is good landing. Ask any experienced pilot and they will tell you it is better to just plant it rather than grease it. That way, you get traction from the tires earlier. Not all runways in the world are 4 km long u know...
