I heard some idiot jumped off there earlier this year and his chute didn't open. He hit the water really hard and ended up having to be rescued by helicopter and taken to hospital. They should have sent him the bill for the rescue!
It is indeed Wallaman falls in Queensland. I'm gonna be abseiling down that in a month or two once I round up some gear. It'll be a while before I jump it though!
base jumpin in aus is illegal, these guys wouldnt break the law now would they. nor would they want to impose restrictions on the few places avaliable to jump in aus
BASE jumping is not illegal.. Trespassing is illegal and that's all they get you on in Australia mate.
Any slack jawed bugger eating moron can look at the video and tell it's Wallaman Falls. Combine that with the fact some chick made a divot there last month and it's all out. There is only ONE way to keep a great jump a secret and that is dont jump it.... or if you do, do it alone.. Not much fun in that..
@roadie50 wrong, this isnt venezuella, you would get about 12 seconds of freefall from angel falls becase its almost 1000 meters high! this is wallaman falls in Queensland, Australia, because thats about 350m. and i live near it (ciarns) so i know it well
@roadie50 pretty sure thats wallaman falls in australia angels falls is in excess of 2000 feet its so high that the water mistifies before it hits the ground , the water in this clearly doesn't
