Each style of Stout is distinct. Please refer to BJCP Guidelines on Style whenever describing a style. The entire Style document we Beer Judges use is available for free on the internet. Get friends together with several Stouts for a Tasting.  Reading the BJCP guidelines aloud before each style. Only a few Oz for each person is needed, so you can share. 22OZ bottles go a long way in a Tasting! Use small clear glasses, observe and smell before sips. Several sips are needed. Discuss, enjoy.
