Just look back at how the world was before we even exsisted, there were earthquakes, tsunamiis, volcano erruptions, storms, est, which whiped out some of the living species millions of year ago, so why are people blameing the natural disasters on CO2? @Artprincess247 The annoying thing is that emissions are only one side of the coin (and not a convincing one either) The rain forests that recycle the air - for one of a better term - have been chopped down to a large extent around the same time as the industrial revolution, so whilst I believe emission have had an effect, the loss of rain forest is a far greater problem. You can kill cars but kill the rain forest and the shit will hit the fan anyway - there is no way out.

seriously, your average car is using approximately 100kW of energy to propel you along. That's like a whole street.

1.5 Horsepower = 1kW. Unless you drive a 2CV, you're wasting energy, basically. I reckon that a person needs about 5 to 10 horsepower to go evilly fast. Imagine a 350bhp go kart, and then imagine a 350bhp solid concrete car. Concrete sort of stupid is what we do today.

@J4KEH4M There is sufficient evidence to prove that the climate is indeed changing. Sure we don't know for sure how much of it is down to human influences but we are in no doubt adding to it. An increase of Co2 in the Earth's atmosphere is warming the planet, and we are chugging out more Co2 than has ever been released. And yes, you're right, it's a shame but charities do suffer from corruption.

I live in Southampton, UK, we DID briefly have a small number of Natural Gas-powered buses for a while, but I no longer see them.

I am guessing this is probably due to them being more expensive to convert / run than conventional diesel, so the greedy managers / shareholders at First Southampton put a stop to it.
