  • Some people think that a very primative form of the game may have originated in india, BUT THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT THE GAME WE KNOW TODAY AND THE BASIC RULES DEFINATELY DEVELOPED IN ENGLAND

  • lol badminton was not from india, badminton is a combination of "battledore and shuttlecock" from England, and something else from china, cant remmber what though. Who the hell told u it was from india??

  • Nartej, plaease give it up, ur convincing no one. Please u to do some research before replying to this, as u are making yourself look ignorant.

O and did anyone notice how many times Kellog crossed the service line?

  • The Game was originated from an ancient civilization in China and Greek. where the game is played without net more than 2000 years ago.

In the 1600s Battledore and Shuttlecock was an upper class pastime in England and many European countries

in 1800's the modern game was played in India, named 'Poona' where net was introdced.

In Mid 1800's, England took the game back and played pivotal roles in decelopin the game. Naming it 'badminton' and set up rules and organisation.
