However, I did notice that compared to other games with 3d elements, there is a bit more minimalism. That's actually a good thing. For the last 15 years, one of the biggest gimmicks to try and sell games, has been over detailed or overdone 3d graphics. I've never cared about a certain style. I prefer quality of gameplay over style/eyecandy. But... nice, well done artwork certainly helps.

I've only seen the trailer so, lets see how far this game goes.

I dunno, being a fan of the original Sonic games (before the 3d crap and the horrible 2d attempts on portables like GBA), it still doesn't seem to have the feel of the originals. Play Sonic 1, 2, 3 and Knuckles. The music, art and atmosphere were perfect in those games.

Uh, no. It's not just the past, in the past they were great. Now that they're a third-party in the present, they aren't as good. They're games have lost their touch, and they're starting to get forgotten. It's better for them finacially to stay 3rd-party. Which would you want?

A. A new SEGA console that will ultimately fail because of competition, bad games, and no money.

B. SEGA keeping it safe and staying third-party, and releasing decent games.

I've actually been part of all the different Sonic crowds and actually it's not. There are a lot of people disappointed if there isn't 4 players and want 4 players cuz each character has it's unique original and imaginative charm and fan base and fans want to join in on the fun TOGETHER.

For instance, 2D games are cool to do becuase we liked the old ones. It's cool and fun be you gotta know that the series won't last against it's competitors or have anything "amazing" to offer in 2010 if so.

There will be no handheld from RINGWIDE it's been canned. Instead SegaSammy will design a On-live like streaming device out of it's hardware and hopes to have it ready by Spring. As for Ring Edge, the project has been postponed until Q1 2010 and the annoucement is now set to take place sometime around early spring 2010. The Ringedge console will now launch later in 2010,possibly in early 2011. SEGASammy is hellbent on getting back into consoles but they need a hybrid out first before they can.
