  • she is still great and this song brings back some good memories

  • A 78 ans bravo Pétula

  • Milli Vanilli would shit if they saw this!

  • I don't care if is lip sync !.....what a great performance from a grand lady ! Wish I could have been there.

  • I don't think she is really singing...is it a plyback of her sixty's voice...????

  • wow...what a bad choice of making her lip sync! That's her old 60's voice! People aren't stupid! She can sing wonderfully, why lip sync? :/

  • shes aged very well...

  • くちパクもここまでくればなにもいうことはない。

  • This is the original recording of the song as the quality of her voice isnt that good today as there are performances of her singing this song live in recent years & she doesnt sound so good as in this video, but its still good to see her singing this song in 2O1O even if she is lip synching.

  • Actually you can see the year 1964 between brackets , they have done so in order to tell you that the listening belongs to that year, but the performace is from 2010 :)

  • What a great performance, from one of the true masters of music ! thanks for posting !

  • Still going strong! Wow! great!

  • Buen video en vivo de Petula cantando ella se conserva todavia , pero lo que importa es lo que hay en el corazon, gracias fritz5137 por subirla

    Saludos de Lima -Peru

  • wow almost 80! and still attractive,in her case beauty didn't fade.

  • She's lip synching, but I don't care.

  • Definitely not the voice of a 77 years old person, check: "Petula Clark performs "Downtown" at Epcot 2008" that out of tone voice is!

  • 45 years later AMAZING!

  • she's just adorable

  • She is singing live, but the audio is swapped out with a remastered version of the original song for some reason. You can hear the recording fading out towards the end as she comes in with that last "Downtown" -- that's the only part that we're hearing of the live performance. A shame, I would've liked to hear the live performance instead.

  • Geez. If this is her really singing live....she soucns fantastic!

  • I have seen her five times live and she does NOT sound like that nowadays. I love her but that is not a recent audio track. It is the original or near to it. You can hear the transfer to the video track at the end. Plus she is 77 or close but sounded wonderful in Sydney last year. A generous and much loved entertainer.

  • She is not lipsyncing, the guy or girl who posted this just replaced the live audio with the 1964 version.....

  • @THEmotownboy the audience applause can clearly be heard so there is no possibility the soundtrack has been changed by anyone. This is a tv mime

  • @markdelaney - I would hope that Petula Clark was too intelligent and classy to lipsync to a recording that is 46 years old, especially when it would be so obvious. Why would the "orchestra" have a person playing the chimes @ 2:30 when there isn't a chime on the original recording? I think that the audio was replaced, not be the uploader but by the producers of the show. This has been done on many PBS musical reunion shows due to the artists vocals not being considered good enough..

  • Most definately a lip sync to the original recording... odd since she's still got great pipes and stage persona. Let's hear you really sing, Petula, you're still great!

  • there sound dubbing off the original and adding her new ending to it

  • this takes me back..luv it

  • this aint no original recording. the music's better and the ending's different. I'm telling you she's still got it even after over 50 years in showbusiness

  • the author of the video has put in the original recording

    why ?

  • One of the Worlds great singers, those you can count on the fingers of one hand. I love her.

  • Looks a bit older but sounds perfect

  • @TheRetroDude1 She is lip syncing to the original

  • this video's so heartwarming i almost cried

  • but why is she miming?

  • @canidius ANYWAY SHE IS FANTASTIC , NOW THEN AND FOREVER. LOVE YOU PET YOU ARE THE BEST LIZ

  • She doesn't look old enough to have been born in the 60s never mind singing!

  • @davie12 Actually she was born on November 15, 1932.

  • @MBFLA45 Thanks MBF. I did know she was older than that, I just expressed myself badly.... Soz :-)
