I saw this movie when it was released in the theaters. The references here went right over my head then. It wasn't until many years later until watching again (it might have been the 3rd time) that I caught the titles of those novels in the conversation.

I wish I could hear this without knowing anything about Dostoyevsky, just to know how silly it sounds without getting the hilariously well-crafted references.
I'm glad I read. I feel so smart by picking up on all those Dostoevsky references, which, in turn, makes me feel useless, vain and rediculous, which I am, of course.
That was hilarious. I am going to rediscover some Woody Allen.
