I have an old rusty pot and pan, and I played along to this by banging on them with a toilet brush... it really complimented the complexities of this music.
I love the other-worldliness of this music. The title of a Dewey Redman album comes to mind: 'The Ear Of the Behearer'. It's all about beauty but there's a need to dispel any judgements. For me this music allows me to escape the 4/4 onslaught & move into a more objective frame of reference. Evan Parker's technique & mastery of circular breathing on the soprano sax has a curiously relaxing effect. 'The Snake Decides' is played often. Great to SEE John Stevens in action. Thanks for posting this.
