I wish DJs here in Texas new more about dubstep like this. I look forward to the day that we get a scene that actually holds true to the music all the UK innovators gave us.
dubstep is like the rock genre, its as diverse as the artist wants to make it, and on the other hand people can still make shitty and generic versions of songs. This is different, but good. Reminds me of donkey kong for some reason lol
Yup. Some seriously good stuff. Far better than most of the stuff other step artists are putting out there. Loving what Synkro is up to as well though. (Check 'In Transit' by him.)
This, Fields of Emotion and Reflections are the best on the album IMO. Don't get me wrong, stuff like Wibbler is ok, but this kind of stuff is just so much deeper, more intense and transporting that everything else just doesn't compare.
Anyway, enough of the music babble, let's listen to the track. :P
@EXiTbeats not only is that a matter of opinion, but much like skream rusko is one of the artists who helped pioneer dubstep and also popularize it. If you don't appreciate rusko to some degree i dont see how you can appreciate dubstep. so "suck it rusko" is definitely not a comment to be proud of
@chillwiththat618 he made dubstep mainstream, and then did nothing inventive and over-used wobble bass, it's a shame as Rusko is such a talented producer and DJ for him to make such mainstream stuff really
@Roiimar as i said, Rusko is a talented producer and DJ, but his tunes are very mainstream, and technically before you be a smart arse they are not Dubstep as they have no 'Dub' in them and if you think Dub is bass don't even respond to this comment, a lot of the more 'progressive' nowadays what we call Dubstep is basically Step and Bass...
@EXiTbeats well, by definition, neither artists are dub. dub is based in reggae and calypso music... dubSTEP is something completely different. And artists such as Rusko and Caspa played just as large a part in building the genre as Skream did. Just because Skreams music is a little bit more relaxed than theirs doesnt separate it at all. If you really respect dubstep at all, you should be able to see both aspects, accept them for what they are, and just enjoy.
I like this album. Maybe the reason for people not liking it is because it's out of their comfort zone now. The sound is simple and yet more complex at the same time, which add's a perception of class. I also think this has the potential to be digested by the mainstream crows which doesn't huRt. That's my insight.
hes probably being slightly ironic, as much as it is outside the box of dubstep, you have to be pretty uptight to use the phrase outside the box anyway
@Dupstepfreakah People Need To Stop With This Thinkin Ouside The Box Bullshit! Everyone's Doin It! It Would Be More Original Nowadays To "Think Inside The Box"...
Anyway i don't care where he was thinkin, it doesn't make this beat any better or the whole CD for that matter!
Awesome

Skream is, and always will be, the best dubstep artist around. For me, when I think dubstep, I think Skream.

Its a brilliant song, but, yanno, its funny. Optimus Gryme was making this ambience filled mellow at the start of last year...
Dont care what anyone else says, this album is one of the best step albums this year...Suck it Rusko :P

@EXiTbeats
Its mainstream because? its different than old school dub?
Man, things change, be a little bit more progressive. Rusko is as much as a dubstep producer as skream is.
He just has a different style, stop being a conservative prick . Rusko can make the music he wants to make, he doesnt need your fucking approval.
