so beautiful country... I like Canada... You should make some more videos of nature around your house and upload it, please.
And i was right, Rocky is crazy dog, omg i was really smile on the end of this clip. Remind me on my Jimmy a German Hunting Terrier that i had... But Jimmy was stealing fish from me, not the hooks ;)
Since you've not done any more recent videos, I reviewed past ones. Loved Rocky playing in the snow in 2009. FYI, global warming actually means more extreme and unusual weather more often. I'm sure you've seen the weather change over the decades, especially recent ones. Studying weather is a hobby of mine and I've had to notice changing global weather patterns. This year in particular is very unusual and could be the beginning of the future we will have to deal with and survive in.
You probably know the best method of hook removal, but there are several vids on YouTube that show it. You were wise to use a vet as the hook was in his mouth. I used the method on myself when by myself using a extra long line warped around a cleat and then pulling as the hook was in my bare foot and hard to hold and pull in the proper dirrection. I don't go barefoot around hooks anymore. :)
beautiful rainbow trout native i assume i catch native rainbow and browns all the time in a little 10 mil long stream 400 feet from my house in the western part of north Carolina in the great smokey mountainous range i have caught 3 pound native trout form that stream olny 3 or 4 in the last 5 years thoe
@Conan568 yeah same here anything over 12 inches is a dammned good catach here to my couzioun caught an 8 pound native out of there back in 06 had it for supper that night i saw the damn thing it was big about 25 inches and 14 around
You are going to leave a great video collection for your great-great-great grandchildren!
What a great place to fish with no one else around. I've been to BC and fell in love with the place years ago. Uhhhm, we use 14 inch mullets down here for bait and some people do eat them, but I would much rather have your trout instead. Our speckled trout are almost as good eating, but much larger with a good one 4-9 lbs. Glad Rocky is ok. All the best and thanks for the video.
i ate some grilled trout at cracker barrel, it was alright but nothing to sing and dance about. i don't wanna sound like a sissy but rocky swimming made me go "AWW" was it cold out there? lordy. i haven't gone fishing in a while, partly because my county has decided to charge people to park at beaches and parks and mostly because.. i guess i haven't been in the mood too much, it's hot, and there's tourists down here crapping up the place.
what happened to the fish did he die?
toomanyfires 5 months ago
@toomanyfires
The fish fought so hard he died so we took him home and buried him under butter, some spices and tin-foil.
It was a somber but delicious service.

Yeah that's the thing about the weather.
It changes, and will continue to do so just like it did before we arrived.
Global warming is the Fraud of the millennium.

Glad Rocky is ok. You live a great life. When are we going to see you making knives again, and will you ever sell them?

@GladiusArmis
Thanks, I've had company business to attend to al year and haven't had time to make Damascus yet.
It'll be too damned hot next month, but I am preparing to make a lot of Damascus steel soon and it should be a great video.
After that I'll start making them to sell.

Really good to see you're still posting videos -you make some AMAZING work. How did the Sutton hu sword turn out?
I've gotta get out fishing again soon. Good call on Rocky, that dog is so frickin cute!

Sutton hoo is almost ready to grind.
Those hooks were barbed and as soon as I looked at Rocky's nose I knew we had to see our Vet.

There were 2 barbed hooks in Rocky's nostril.
I knew it was a Vet situation as soon as I saw it.
I have taken another hook out of Rocky before though.

We do catch bigger trout here, but anything over 2 lbs. is considered a damned good catch.
Thanks for watching.

Thank you, and Rocky is fine today, the drugs have finally worn off.
