  • I cant understant why allways on these battles the mr2 neve are the manual ones?

  • lol TSUCHIYA CLAPING AFTER HE ALMOST OVERSTEERED AND CRASH ON THE LAST CORNER

  • This episode is so funny to watch. LOL

  • TIME ATTACKの表示、NewとOld逆だと信じたい・・・

  • LOL @ honking. tsuchiya is wreckless lmao

  • RX-8いい音してるなあ

  • tsuchiya sounds like a kid with a new toy hahaha XD

  • 3:32 delicious !! x'D

  • I am disappointed about the new MX5's 4x4 look and floaty suspension. . . So un-mazda like...

  • tsuchiya-san....you are not lack of skill.....are you kidding me :( you are the DK~!!!!!

  • Kinda glad the S2000 won, if not it would have been straight out embarresing. But the MX-5's are about just as fun on the road.

Regards from Norway (1993 1.6 Miata LE owner)

  • Another nice save from tsuchiya. came pretty close to eating that wall

  • lol! i never saw that kind of shitty driving from tsuchiya.

  • The RX8 driver wasen't trying hard enough

  • lol yea right!

Thats Akira Iida...him not trying hard enough? hahaha

  • I mean he couldn't get past the new MX5 in the first 3 laps, then again the Japanese version of the RX8 only has 190 hp

  • Uh wrong jap version does not have 190hp. Maybe the 4speed version or the low power 5 speed.

Japanese Type S as viewed in this video is rated at 247HP.

6-speed manual "High Power" with an output of between 170 kW (231 hp) and 184 kW (247 hp) (250 PS) and a 9,000 rpm redline.

  • Where does it say the RX8 is Type S ?

  • Gear ratio. Same speed at rpm & gear as 6speed.

    Body kit.

    Wheels.

The fact it even somewhat keeps up with the S2000.

  • look up the Best motoring vid with the M5,M3,350z,S2000, and RX8. Then you'll see what I mean:)

  • I'm not saying he sucks its more to do with the car

  • its cool lol

  • these guys are so classic, i wish i new japanese

  • In stock trim the MX-5 is a bit floaty when going through corners. As an owner, I wasn't impressed with how the stock suspension handled. Honestly I don't think the driver going off the track was do to lack of skill, its just a hard car to control, because it breaks out with no feedback. Once I replaced the suspension and put wider tires/wheels on the car it became a dream to drive. With my current cosworth engine mods I would love to donate my car to these guys to see how it compares.

  • Interesting. What wheel sizes you put and what suspension?

  • 17x9 with rolled fenders and Ohlin's coilover suspension. I also braced the chassis a bit. With the stock engine, the car corners flat, but with another 20hp the tail started coming around again; however, it was much more controllable.

  • Haha i love their manner they seem to be having so much fun

  • Awesome!!!

  • If you buy a used MX5 it is a great investment and a great tuning platform. If they included the MX5 turbo with 170hp, the results could be different

  • nice

  • While I don't know any Japanese, assuming the subtitles are fairly accurate I have to say that I love the manner of the racers' commentary. I really liked Tsuchiya. "Wait, wait, wait a minute! ... Oops! Damn ... That sucked! Totally uncool! . . . As you all witnessed, the new Roadster unfortunately went off course due to the driver's lack of skill."

Owning up to mistakes and, in the case of the S2000 driver, admitting to advantages. And all so playfully. They're having fun, and so did I.
