  • (Y) I got to lurn! :D<3

  • @AnettePia0

    Thank you so much!

"Lurning" is such a great thing!

    :-D

  • on y comprend rien !!!

  • @ilovehorse065

    [traduction automatique]

    ^_^

  • rubbish!

  • @ekushey

You have just lost a chance to make some constructive, meaningful criticism.

    I'll give you another chance.

What are you talking about, exactly?

Origami in itself? This butterfly design? My instructions? The way I filmed it?

And why, in your opinion, one or more of the things above is/are "rubbish"?

Reply and at least you'll save a bit of your reputation.

A bit, because using the word "rubbish" for a form of art like origami isn't that great in itself.

    Can you be constructive?

  • @estebansuperrey

    Muchas gracias!

  • demonios esperaba mas jajajaja....

bueno pero pues ni que hacerle

saludos y espero mejores flexias XD

  • @Dlaku

    More tuorials will come!

  • @Dlaku speak spanish you mexican or portarican

  • Do you have any idea of the measures of that triangle on top? Because other lines are self explanatory on how you do them although there's no guidance for the triangle

  • I just finished my first try. Was a lot easier than I first thought. Very nice. Cheers. Guess there's no need for an exact measure for the triangle.

  • @helloiliketomoveit

I'll suppose you meant to say the brown-coloured triangle... exactly, its size and the inclination of its two sides were customizable!

And it's right, this butterfly is quite easy, even if the result is really nice!

    Cheers to you in return!

  • q chilero esta tu origami

  • @ChApEtErO17

    Muchas gracias!

About your question... I've tried to translate it with automatic translations websites... but the result is not really clear, sorry... ^_^

  • @danbergam Not sure if you still want to know what he's talking about. I'm not spanish, I'm portuguese but he's asking what type of paper you're using. If a normal sheet or a paper/cardboard. At least that's what it sounds like to me (:

  • @helloiliketomoveit

Thank you so much for your kind intention and translation: I want you to know that with such an attitude like yours, you're making of this world a better place... and that's precious and priceless!

    :-)

  • @ChApEtErO17

¡Es una hoja normal de papel para la copiadora/impresora!

  • Could you please explain to me why some of your lessons are private? I was really looking forward to making an origami pegasus but i cant view the video.

  • @scorpioNo03

Some of these lessons are taken from books, so I've decided to progressively put them as private.

Anyway, I guess we can solve the problem, somehow.

  • disculpa como se llama el papel que usas?

  • @estre252

    ¡Nada para disculpar! ^_^

    Yo no compré ese papel.

¡He colorado y recorté el cuadrado de una hoja de papel A4 regular!

    :-)

  • thank you for sharing!!

  • @amranjithan

Thanks *to you*, for stopping by and so nicely commenting!

    :-D

  • is this backround noice a fisherman ? ( I don't mean the birds)

  • @humphreyhannes

This soundscape has been obtained with Atmosphere Deluxe, which randomly mixes many samples.

Yes, definitely there's a torrent or a river in the background!

    :-)

  • I cordially invite you to rate it, add it to your favourites and comment it!

I thank you very much for your kindness and for your great rating!

    :-)

  • cool

  • Thank you!

  • hey can i just color one side of paper

  • You don't absolutely need to ask my permission: it's your origami butterfly and you have the absolute right to decorate it the way you like better!

Just be creative and happy with it!

    ^_^

  • Good tutorial

  • Thank you very much for your kindness!

    ^_^

  • excellent! thank you!

  • Thanks to you!

  • o.o Where can you get paper like that? Is there a

special kind of store or do you have to order it on

    the internet?

And by the way, the butterfly is beautiful. ^ ^

I admire your skills at origami. <3

  • You're very kind... you're too kind!

Actually, I consider myself a beginner, and not so skilled!

    ^_^

About the paper: I made a butterfly from a white square of paper, I roughly sketched with a crayon/pen what parts were the wings, what ones the body... than I completely unfolded it!

Then, on my favourite photoretouch software I did a drawing of the square of paper with the wings/body/white parts pattern; and I filled the various parts by using various plugins!

    Thank you so much!

    ^_^

  • No, no. Thank you! ^ ^ I really think you're skilled

and not a beginner. You're amazing at this. ^ ^

And thanks again for the answer about the paper.

    It's well appreciated. ^.^ <3

  • *he bows in sign of sincere gratitude*

    :-)

  • cool

  • Thank you!

  • thank you for putting all these up there very helpfull

and i couldent halp but notice...you have very nice hands

  • Ok, now I'm here half blushing and half smiling... I've never been said something like this, but I have to admit that... I like it!

    ^_^

So, thank you so much from me, for your appreciation for my humble tutorials... and from my hands as well!

    :-D

Thank you for this smile you've put on my face!

  • thanks so much ive been lokking for a butterfly

  • I'm glad you've found what you were looking for!

    ^_^

  • thanks to your video i just realize where was my wrong :)....thank you

  • Thanks to you, for your kindness!

    Glad it helped! ^_^

  • how did you learn all of this stuff??????

  • I have a book... and well, the Internet is full packed of origami diagrams!

    There's just plenty of choice!

    ^_^

  • Thank for your origamis (:

  • Thanks to you, for being able to say - thank you -: it's a priceless quality!

    :-)

  • Hey, your videos are really good.

  • ...and your words are really kind.

  • Thank you so much for your appreciation!

    :-D

  • I respect your opinion.

  • That waz beautiful!!!<3 How Did You Get That Pattern For the Butterfly. The sides???

  • Thank you very, very much! ^_^

About the pattern, I just played around with a photoretouch program and some free plugins until I was satisfied!

    :-)

  • ...

  • more more!...* xD

  • Well... after such a request liike this, expressed like this, I'll seriously have to think about a new origami tutorial...

    xD

  • can you please do a marijuana leaf. . .e mail me . . it would be much appreciated . . . i teach a drug awareness class.

  • Drug awareness class? A very precious thing! :-)

Drugs just ruin a person... its real, genuine way to be...

  • thanks ,many of my close friends have died from drugs ,or drug related things ,, many people say they help their life,,but they really just numb you from reality,,whatever problems you hade before you do drugs will still be there when they wear off , ,the best high i ever had was to see my son smile , no drug can ever make you feel that good ,,sorry if i started preaching ,

  • It's the modern temptation: to flee from oneself's life to somewhere else, without really living each moment... without really learning from it.

And yes, to witness the miracle of life is just an endlessly more amazing way to feel high! ^_^

Don't worry, we all should have the blessing to receive more often some good preachings like this one!

    ^_^

  • Thank you dambergam fro the beautiful origami videos! I truly enjoy all of your work

  • Thanks to you for your kind words: I'll go on trying to make my origami tutorials better and better!

    :-)

  • Hey i really liked uR video iv senn many

but yours was better from all....

I thank you cuz i learned to do this to give to my special someone on FEB 14 among some other gifts.....

i wanted to this i can do it in front of her

    :)

    ty! PEACE!

  • Let me tell you that I really appreciate your comment!

I think it's a great idea for a present... and for sure she'll appreciate even more the fact that you will do this in front of her... I mean she will see a square of paper turno into a butterfly... it's like magic and poetic at the same time!

My best wishes to you and her... and peace, peace, peace!

    :-)

  • Oh em gee thank you! [◕ u ◕ ]/

  • Thanks to you in return, for stopping by and so kindly commenting!

    :-)

  • another day, another origami. i believe you are making this into a hobby of mine. it is quite relaxing to listen to soothing sounds while simply folding paper into beautiful forms. :)

  • And you, day after day, are letting me read a constant, faithful series of thoughtful, nice comments... I couldn't ask for more!

Hehe, origami is a quite addicting thing, and a-model-a-day can quickly turn into a habit!

May all the origami instructions you find be clear and well explained!

    ^_^

  • Molto bella.

Grazie mille per il tuo apprezzamento!

    ^_^

  • one question (:

will it still look like a butterfly even if i dont draw patterns on it?

    hahah.

  • Haha! ;-)

Oh, maybe it will look like the most beautiful butterfly ever... because you will be able to imagine a new drawing and a new set of colors for it every single time you will want!

    ^_^

  • Thank you for posting this. I loved the nature sound and the way you teach in silence:)Beautiful winged creation in the end.

    Blessings

    Tara

  • Well, thanks *to you*, Tara, for taking the time to write such kind words!

Haha, English is not my first language so I guess that to fold and explain at the same time would end in a total mess!

But I'm really glad that you appreciate my instructions anyway... and I agree, Nature is able to play some beautiful music! ^_^

Blessings in return... and smiles! :-)

    Daniele

  • Oh,And BTW,Nice rainforest theme! So Relaxing And Pleasant! ^^ =D

  • I just love the music of Nature! ^_^

  • I Made Mine,Designed It,And Kept It In My Collection!! Yay!! ^^ Thanks 4 posting! I Can't Believe There Are So Many Things Are Can Do With Paper!! You Can Fold, cut, rip, and write! Is there such thing as an origami bottle? XD Lol i just wanna know. If there is,then please post one up so i can make one. XD lol. If there isn't,tell me. Thanks!! ^_^

  • Glad you liked it!

About the bottle, I'll do some research... and you can do it as well!

For example, in YT you may search for:

    origami bottle

and, in Google, you may search for:

    origami bottle diagrams

  • Oh,Ok Sure! =D But it'll take awhile,in the meantime,make more videos if u can! =D

  • Hmmm, probably it'd be shorter for you to follow the instructions in a diagram than for me to make a new origami video... but, anyway, don't know when... more tutorials will come! ^_^

    :-D

  • Daniele, my two comments is for mapacheski18.-

Is a person who doesn´tknow what he said.

    Good video my dear friend.

  • First of all, let me thank you for your kind, smart defense...

Sadly, some people are like that: they discharge their rage on the first person they find, without a reason.

Anyway, if I'm not mistaking it with someone else, that person has apologized with me... sometimes it happens... and when it happens is always a good day!

    ^_^

  • cool I did it, and with what I drawed on it, it looks even better then without ;)

    thanks

  • So, you can definitely say that you did it all by yourself, decorations included!

    :-)

    You're very welcome! :-D

  • CHINGA TU MADRE!

  • With this random offense, you just offend yourself, your intelligence, your soul.

I know that your intelligence and your soul are there, under your rude, senseless words.

I know it... and you should know it as well.

You really need to take care of yourself, before it's too late.

    Remember:

Todo lo que el hombre siembre, eso mismo Cosechará.

    (Galatians 6:7)

  • did you read the four agreements or something?(not disrespect)honest question. if you dont know what that is never mind. and i put the video on pause and i still heard sounds. how did you do that its cool.

  • I'm a very curious person, so I did a research about these four agreements: I'm impressed by how such words of wisdom from the Toltec are very similar to the ones we may find in the Bible... I believe the good Lord finds many ways for to talk to our hearts! ^_^

Do you still hear the sounds after pushing the pause button?! Now, that's strange... I think it may depend from your Flash Player installation...

That soundscape has been randomly generated!

    ^_^

  • No sabes lo que dices.-

Un poco mas de respeto, que no tienes ninguno

  • No sabes lo que dices.-

Un poco mas de respeto, que no tienes ninguno

  • Wow, thanks, I did it!

  • It's always great to hold the finished origami model in your hands... and to think that you've made it by yourself!

Thanks to you, for letting me know! ^_^

  • i didnt get it lol

  • Origami may seems strange or puzzling, the first times... don't give up, I'm sure you'll get it! ^_^

  • GO DANBERGAM

  • Go xXLegendaryHoundXx! :-)

  • thnx pal,now i cn giv it 2 my love one....take care u just brightened my day

  • ...and you just brightened my day in return, by sharing with me such a nice thing!

All my best wishes to you and to your soulmate!

    ^_^

  • wow....that was awesome. thanks dude for postin this. really had helped. =]

  • Thanks to you, for your kind words!

It's just great, for me, to know to have been able to give some help! :-DDD

  • after getting a new origami book, there is a butterfly in the book. its sooo cool. the butterfly in that book is something much different than this vids and the butterfly that i know of. it has so much more details in the wings and stuff for that origami. im going to try to make it soon, hopefully. :D

  • I find amazing, too, how many different ways there are to make the same subject with origami... oh, that butterfly must be just great! :-D

  • its also more complicated, but challenges make more fun in life. there are sooo many things to make in the origami book, both simple and intermediate levels, and maybe hard levels too. cant wait to make them all!

  • do u think its possible to make a butterfly that flaps its wing wing you pull somewhere? like the crane where u pull the tail to make it fly. *trivia*the original name of butterfly is flutterby because they flutter by.

  • Now, that trivia was simply ***cool***!

    Yes, just Google:

    origami flapping butterfly

and you'll find a lot of pages about it.

Who knows, I could even make a tutorial about it: I'm quite fascinated by the idea of a flapping butterfly! ^_^

  • i sure hope u could :)

  • we dont need this thing to fly,as long as we have our imagination...im talking about art dudes, imagination cn make a thing more cool

  • This is a great opinion, imagination can make a great difference, in Life! ^_^

  • so hard

  • Really?! Hmm, origami frog, for to say one, is way harder than this!

Eh, with origami a bit of patience is needed... and some additional tries, sometimes! :-)

  • i love my butterflies!! :D

and i love your videos!! wii ^^

    THANK YOU!!

  • Ah, I'm glad that you're satisfied of the result... and that you love my origami videos!!!

    Wiiiiiiii! xD

    Thanks to you!!! :-D

  • i made a pretty little butterfly!!!

i made it while i watched the video, and my marker was all dried out so it looks like i found him on my windshield heehee

thanks for the video! keep it up!!!

    @}--'----

  • :-D

I guess that a little version of this butterfly is just beautiful!

To be honest, in the diagrams I found there was no reference to the possibility to decorate its wings... but I thought that this way it could be even better!

On your windshield?! I guess it may even happen: you park your car near to a garden... and when you return you find a colorful butterfly peacefully resting on the windshield! ^_^

I'll keep it up, by the way!

Thank you for your kind words... and for the rose! :-)

  • heehee actually, i meant when they splat on the windshield as im driving =P

but i practiced ALOT since that first one and now they look very nice! after 10 i could do it by memory ~.^ lol i started adding a piece of floral wire to them so it comes out the between the bottom wings so my friends can carry them like butterfly wands

    @}--'---

  • Haha, I actually suspected that the "splat" meaning was the right one... but, in the doubt, I went for the more poetic one! xP

I'm sure they're getting better (and by memory, too!) as you practice them... and let me tell you that the "butterfly wands" idea sounds pretty cool! 8-)

Thank you so much for all the care you put in your words, it's really, *really* rewarding, to me! :-D

*he bows in sign of respect... but he loses the balance and falls down on a pile made up of origami figures xD*

  • o0pS heehee we might have to glue you together before you do that in a drafty place lol

    @}--'---

  • Hahaha!

    xD

  • sausages may contain rat meat. In factories there r a lot of rodents and they sometimes get blended with the meat...

    good video btw

  • I really, really hope that they implement all the checking/protecting systems of this world for to *not* let it happen... :-\

    Thank you for your appreciation!

  • Thanks I am going to try this!

Just one question, why do you like put the picture of a butterfly at like 4:26?

  • Ah, that's great, Sophie: I'd like to know if you are satisfied of the result!

I always put the picture of the finished model at the half of the video so that it's automatically used by YT as the icon representing the video (it'd work also at 33%,66%): this way, people may see & *know* how the origami model is going to be even before clicking it!

I think it's the best possible advertisement for it, when they do a research in YT, and that it may help them to chose it amongst many others!

    ;-D

  • Oh!

Yes I didn't have time last night I think I am going to do it like today sometime when i have enough time.

So thats why you do that

I am going to try that Sometime.

    Thanks!

    :)

  • Haha, glad to know the result was fine! :-)

Yes, that's how I do it!

    You're welcome! :-)

  • thanks

  • You're welcome!

  • which users you showed me? (I lost the list with the names and I am not thinking in that movie left!): (

  • Don't worry, it happens!

    vinagurl

    artegami

    AdamsSara

    origamibook

    castword

    ...but if you simply search

    origami

in YouTube, you'll find many, many tutorials!

    :-)

  • hey its biscuitaddict. i got a new account but im not gonna make any more origami videos because i dont have time :/

  • Hey there! I'm happy to hear from you again!

No more origami videos? :-( Sorry about it... time is really a precious thing.

Apart the missing time, I hope you're doing fine: I wish you all the best in everything!

    :-)

    *Thank you* for stopping by!

  • wow, i have never seen that butterfly before. i know a different way to make a butterfly. this butterfly is soooo similar to the butterfly i know. the way you make it is different, but the end result is so similiar. i am going to make this butterfly and put it side by side with the butterfly i know of. danbergam, you have an amazing skill with origami!

  • :O

A different way... with a similar result?!?

Now, this made me very, very curious... I think I'll do some research about it; because it always amazes me how many different ways there are to fold a piece of paper for to obtain similar results!

I'm really thankful to you for your kind words... but I can say, in return, that you have an amazing talent too with all those unbelievable essboard, bladeboard and waveboard!

    :-)

  • thanks. maybe the origami i know of isnt that much known around in america since its not an american origami book. my origami books are from asia. more specifically, its a korean origami book.

  • The one I own, instead, is from a japanese author...

I'm always happy when I discover new origami designs! ^_^

  • maybe i should make orgiami vids too, from my origami books.

  • It would be great! :-)

  • then i'll see what i can do! :)

  • YAY! :-D

  • but i got school testing this week. maybe i can post one friday.

  • :O

Oh, don't mind: school tests always come first!

And when you'll have passed them all, to do an origami tutorial will be even more great!

    :-)

    Best wishes for your tests!!!

  • thanks!

  • thanks!

  • ^_^

    Thanks to you!

    :-)

  • i like it alot! thanks dan!

  • Thanks to you, for your support! :-)))

  • Like the birds singing in the background. :)

  • You're right, they're just great! ^_^

  • Dan,

Did you decide to make this? or did you take it by request?

    -Luke

  • Hey there, Luke!

    Good question!

No, it wasn't a request: it's just that I came up with this idea, to see how an origami butterfly could be made... and I found out the diagrams for this traditional one!

    Said... and done! :-)

    Thank you for stopping by!

    Daniele

  • Who is making all your translations?

  • Good question, Vatsek!

I can't find back, at the moment, the first one I used for the majority of my tutorials...

    :-\

But I can find the one I used for this one:

    dictionaryDOTreferenceDOTcom

I only wish it could translate to more languages...

    Thank you for stopping by!

  • thank you for posting. my lil daughter loves oragami and your instructions are easy for her to follow.

  • This comment made smile more than I can explain!!! :-D

God bless you and your daughter!

Thank you for watching... and... more origami tutorials will come! :-)

  • very pretty! i love it :)

  • Yes, it's a beautiful design... and it's amazing, to think how it's simple!

    Thank you so much!

  • sweet that was so pretty XD love the music u put to it as well so soothing

  • You're right, some origami models really look pretty! :-D

Oh, in my opinion there's nothing better, nothing more... absolute, than those natural sounds: it's... the music of Nature, somehow! :-)

Thank you for stopping by and so kindly commenting, Kate! :-D

  • Just making sure this time not to forget any countries ;-D

BTW ★★★★★! Still wondering why it did not took off at the end with those hands waving! :)

  • ^_^

If only there was an internet dictionary able to add all the languages of this world!

Is what you wrote... a translation of "butterfly" in your language?!? :-)

Haha, you're right, it would have been great, in that moment, if it took off in flight!

Thank you for stopping by! :-)
