  • Beautiful!

  • The cello is really a lyrical instrument!!!

  • Belle interprétation

  • lovely! So much emotion i felt!

  • The Cellist plays soooo amazing...

    And the pianist just "accompanies"..

In this case they must be like two lovers...

  • Preciosa composición, y muy buena interpretación.

    Enhorabuena

  • Piano goes too fast! She wants to be the solo I guess.

  • anyone can get the sheet music. imslp.org. It is originally (and here) in Em.

  • Just beyond beautiful on piano & cello. I wonder how many films this piece has been played in? It's one of Rachmaninoff's most beautiful...& one of my very favorites. I love music that can make me weep. It's so good for the soul.

  • @113RedShadow

    yep, e minor f sharp

Realmente eres talentoso bravo.

  • i lurve the original key:) idk what it was but i loved it i think was C sharp minor or C minor can't remember:)

  • in every video i watch on youtube..there's too much vibrato and it sounds so cheap. btw. it's always too fast.

  • beautiful duet, love how warm the cello sounds.

  • it's got a quite sweet n lovely sound (:

    i love it (L)

  • We worship the lord Rachmaninoff all mighty.

  • I'm learning how to play that! I'm fourteen. It's a beautiful song. I love it.

  • I heard this song first on a metal album by Without Grief, and ever since it has been one of my favorite classical pieces...

  • i don't listen to much classical but this is a very beautiful song. i love it on flute too, i first heard it on flute in an anime. :) it sounds nice on both cello and flute

  • yeah me too. (:

    la corda right?

  • I get to accompany my fiend for this song on piano! She is a very good cellist and she was right when she said this was a beautiful piece!!

  • A very sweet interpretation. Beautiful tone.

  • It plays the cello very expresive!, but the sound quality is not very good, so it doesn't hear very well.

I'm playing this piece now and it is an example for me to learn how to play it.

  • Beautiful tone! Perhaps a little intense though... as somebody else said, a tad over the top at times... it gets a bit melodramatic. Nevertheless the cellist has a beautifully rich tone.

  • just got the music 4 this...I'M TOTALLY GANNA SIT DOWN AND LEARN IT!!!

  • PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE if someone have these sheets to send me my mail is andria_cello@yahoo

  • i have the the cello music and score?

  • You can buy it at any music store. Just ask for Vocalise by Rachmaninoff.

  • Très beau. A little slow to my mind but magnificent.

    What a beautiful piece.

    Thanks guys!

  • beautiful, but over the top! Less is more, and the players don't listen to eachother. But yes, the cello sings and weeps

  • Felicidades Cesar!!

  • it is great!...but its too fast, still to fast, have you heard rostropovich's play on this one? try to slow down the tempo

  • why have to play like Rostropovich? This man plays great! He knows something Rostropovich does not.

  • Ok.... Halt our horses.

First: If you want to remain alive NEVER say something like that about Mstislav Rostropovich, or the whole cello comunity (and most of the music comunity too) will chase you until they have you on a roast for dinner.

Second: EVERY musician is due to have his own way of interpreting a certain piece. If he hasn't, well... he should just kiss goodbye his career, because he will be going nowhere.

  • This is the most beautiful played on cello...

  • hi~you play this song really very beautiful! my version is for piano, very hard to control severl lines, and i have some problem to stuck my playing, but your vedio very helpful. Thanks :)

  • watching this video is really helping me

i just received this peice from my teacher

  • Your interpretation was astounding. I feel upon your video because I could not find a viedo of this piece arranged for tenor trombone. Beautifully sonorous and a great representation of musical expression.

  • Que bello cesar!!! -Asaf

  • finally, a cello!!!! For me, a cellist, the cello easily expresses any human emotion.

  • that's because the cello is the closest instrument that is able to replicate the human voice.

  • In terms of range, yes, but i think oboe is closer to human's voice in terms of timbre.

  • perfect!

  • This is why Rachmaninoff surpasses every other composer for me :)

  • Beautifull

  • Beautifully played!
