The second song by Darshanben is very touchy, soothing and soul heartening.
Regardles of one what everyone has commented - at the end of the day it emerges that the program brought before us creativity, culture and gujarati literature to the fore. No matter what our individual likings, it is clear that artists like Sangeet Visharad and Medical Doctor Darshanaben and Advocate Amarbhai not only have entertained us but have also enriched us in the aspects of sur and shabd like never before .

who cares about the technicalities of "gazal " and "geet"?I care about it..very much...because it hurts me when one says a 'geet' a 'gazal'....can they pronounce the word "ghazal" accurately?i bet;certainly not.
another question is that dr.jhala is having a good classical voice but to implement it in a "sugam geet"and when a lyric represents a song of a village girl it is surely distracting to here a classical note in that. in short;"pizza ni sathe khichdi no saari laage maara bhai!"
The singing by Darshanaben is phenomenal - could be said - she is a total singing package.
The poertry was composed by Amarbhai with harkats. Only accomplished singer like darshnaben can bring justice to this harkat filled composition by creation of Amarbhai in live performances. She brings out geet ni mithash.
May be you did not like Amarbhais composition - that is okay too. Or perhaps, it could be said that ......
The classical aspect of Dr. Jhala's song brings in a style of music that only few people can grasp. It makes the song intricate, unique, and beautiful. In fact a weaving of light, classical, gazal, or even modern music is what makes genius and beauty in the musical arts.

Darshnaben has mentioned repeatedly "vinodbhai ni gazal" but what we heard was a "geet"...composition is touchy..definitely
