@HITHEREFOLKS Not sure about details of dispute but obviously very acrimonious, things like John refusing to see his brother on his deathbed and many years later still refusing to perform with the surviving members of CCR. I believe at one stage the other members of CCR took legal action against John performing solo because he sounded too much like CCR (go figure how does one plagiarise one's self?). I guess fault on both sides but you can bet money was the main catalyst.

I agree!! Kenny A is really great drummer, but he over does the CCR music. That is part of the beauty of CCR music...the simplicity. I'd like to see John got back to a 4 piece band: him, drummer, bass and rhythm guitar.

totally the secret incrediants to the CCR virtuosity is the simplicity like u said..but its the powerhouse......of four people working together as a quartet...i mean they were still great even after Tom left in '71 but something was missing...Tom's relentless amazing rhythm guitar...one of my favorite rhythm guitar players is he....VERY underated.....

Kenny Aronoff is considered one of the best drummers in the world, and he IS good, but I agree with you... Maybe he was great with John Mellencamp, but with Fogerty I don't see him very fit... he exagerates too much sometimes, but in other songs like Ramble Tamble he is great!!! :D
