joe nichols reminds me a lot of jim morrison of ''the doors''. for those of you who don't remember, the doors had a string of hits. most notable was ''light my fire'' off their first album called simply ''the doors'' circa 1967. it's unfortunate that jim - who had a great and ''mature'' voice despite his young age - was self destructive. he drifted into alcoholism and drug addiction. by 28 he died from acute alcohol poisoning combined with heroin, found dead in his paris, france apartment.
