Back in the late 1980's while touring the local water treatment plant with my limnology class, I brought up a question concerning the long-term effects on health resulting from both the chlorination and fluoridation of water. I expected an answer from the guide but found myself being rebuked by my professor and a few other students. So it is not surprising to see how individuals like Dr. Marcus and Dr. Mullenix are unjustly treated by their contemporaries and peers.

Also, the involvement of Harold Hodge as both the head the United States Atomic Energy Commission's (AEC) Division of Pharmacology and Toxicology for the Manhattan Project and one of the lead promoters of fluoride is a direct link to the atomic bomb.

The comment from LieWizard is puzzling to us. The use of fluorides in the manufacture of atomic weapons is now well documented from declassified documents. Also, there is ample documentation to verify that severe health consequences were experienced by workers at Oak Ridge who were exposed to fluoride, but were unable to come forward because of the secrecy imposed on the program. Reading Bryson's book and checking the references is recommended.

Great work, however, I wish Bryson did not talk about the atomic bomb angle in his book as he looses credibility talking about things that fail to be proven.
