I'm not sure if you'll ever get into the new movie, trapping and then throwing the star of the third movie like that. For that they'd have to bring back StayPuft and have you flatten in the last reel. Sort of like those Star Trek 'away team' members that get 2 minutes scream-screen time before they meet their demise.
