@MonicaLeyla when he put the needle through it was a *pop* and pressure but it wasn't painful, i'd say a 3. it was the most painful (6) for about 30 minutes after it was already pierced. just your skin and lip getting used to a piece of metal :)

@mscandy98 i think i waited about two-three months just to make sure everything was perfect. (Make sure to keep in contact with your piercer about any questions you may have - they are more than willing to help you and when it really is THE BEST time to switch it out. Each person is different.

@runningisthedrug it was very easy to take care of, you just have to be very mindful to not play with it, like spin it with your fingers - because thats how it could get infected. and i was absolutely happy with it! especially when i was able to get a smaller bar and a little diamond instead of the steel ball :))

I got mine done a month ago and if you are scared of needles then you should probably close your eyes if and when you get it done, im not scared so i was able to watch everything and it's actually quite interesting how they do it, like the description says it dosent hurt, it's a quick and hard pinch, after you get it done, you have to make sure to clean it atleast 2-3 times a day with sea salt and water and go b ack in 2 weeks for sizing and everything. Hope that helped :)

well i have braces too, and my orthadontist said it was ok to get it and it was totally up to me, but 2 weeks ago i went to my appointment and one of the nurses said that i should take it out because it is ruining my "tooth anamel" so yeah it does some dammage. However you can get one with a plastic end which would help this situation, hope this helps everyone and anyone (:

Everyone has a different pain tolerance. It is not possible to say if it hurts.
