  • looks like crap. your highlights are clipped!

  • what color temp did you use with the nikon lens?

  • @UFOJeroen

Don't quite remember but I'm guessing 5600 .. the Sony does have a tendency to shoot a little cool at times imho.

  • @scssam ok thanks man

  • @scssam Exactly - this mustbe my main complaint for Sony against the Canon consumer cameras, the Sonys seldom provide the true color intensity. But if you can adjust it up manually enough = ok.

  • I'm buying the new NEX-VG20EH. I would like to know what is the brand and model of the adapter you use for Nikon lenses.

  • @jimpongrass

Link to the adapter is in the description..

  • Mediocre footage and poor 720p. quality. Thank U 4 sharing.

  • cool. but what software did you use for editing? was it a mac? Advise.

  • @irvineharley

    Sony Vegas.. PC

  • what program you used for slow motion, using 50mm

  • you paid over 1k to get shitty quality like that ?

  • @TheEditingGuy

Care to show me something in the same price range that can do better? By same price range I mean total price after EVERYTHING.

The Vg10 uses an awesome 35mm cmos sensor in it and can shoot hollywood quality footage with the right gear and software.

The footage all depends on the cameraman, what gear he has and how well he knows how to use it bud...

  • @TheXboxSux

The sensor is not 35mm but APS HD, which is about 1.5x smaller (23.4x15.6 mm)

  • @HDMotionStudio

Ya thanks I was thinking of the 50 mm 1.8 lens making it a 35MM equivalent, my bad.

  • Does the firmware update now mean you can use Nikon AF lenses with the adaptor

  • i like the 10.5 shot of the fisherman. otherwise it seemed the nikon dropped a lot of color. what adapter did you use with the Nikon? thansk!

  • Not that great don't know if it's the YouTube download but I have seen much better hd footage

  • oh yes....it will be mine.....

  • Will Nikon lenses AF using this adaptor? Also, does it have to be AF-S lenses?

  • @RDProductions1001

No auto focus and it needs to be a D lens .. so you can control the aperture manually.

  • Why is the man so slow?

  • lookin good.

thx man... this video is exactly what im looking for. im a nikon slr user n looking for camcorder where i can take use of my nikon lenses.

  • thank you so muc! im looking forward to getting this camera!>_<

  • ok so with the 50mm f1.8 was there any editing or is that how it looks when you just point and shoot? and where can i find this adapter?

  • @spazquaz

I put a link up in the description to the adapter I'm using. A couple shots I might have adjust contrast otherwise no editing. Excellent lens for stills and video.

  • 1:50 ......stunning shot

Thanks for sharing….i have ordered a adapter for my Nikon 50mm 1.8 lens for my S N VG10

At the moment using it with a DOF adapter and follow focus, this is going to be so much better shooting straight on with S N VG10

    Thanks for the inspiration.

  • @xfxrory

Excellent choice, the 50mm 1.8 is perfect for this vg10.. w/ the manual aperture ring and only about $120.00.

    thanks for rating and commenting.
