I don't think so. This was pioneering stuff and required far more creativity and innovation than the formulaic drum and bass dross I hear today. If I'd produced this in '92 I'd be looking back filled with pride.

@stack1378 I agree the drum n bass today is absolute nonsense. I dont hear any outside inspiration not from reggae, hip hop, soul or whatever. It has become just a format of beat structure quite similar to techno which people play with to come up with funny sounds and interesting drops but it aint music by a ong shot

@stack1378 Modern D&B is much better produced. Old skool is just a load of samples mashed together - I like it, but it is enormously dated and not half as complicated as modern electronic music.
