Amazing!! Even better than the studio version, cleaner somehow. Ginger's drumming...the finest and as for Stevie, he was closer to God than Eric, ha ha...Eric's pure magic too. Beautiful Telecaster he's playing, unusual instrument for him..Thanks
1969 London is an english city, not anymore in 2011 coz there are so many fucking refugees ,asylum seekers african, asian, every 3rd world nationa are in LOndon...and there are still more hungry benefits coming to LOndon ..
This was recorded on a 4 track reel to reel, pretty advanced for the time and you can see the recording mics doubled up with the PA mics... and right before the drum solo you can hear the audio go to shit for a few, because they had to change a reel and only the camera audio was available for a few... love that minutia!
@Vortigern99 All such arguments are meaningless. These are matters of taste. I mean, who gives a shit what Baker thinks of the Beatles or anything else? Dig his skins? Solid, pops! So do I!
@Vortigern99 You're right about Ginger's ego, mind Ginger never considered himself a rock drummer, his love is jazz. He was tutored by the great Phil Seaman, and his influences are all the great black jazz men. His use of polyrhythms, and African rhythms is unmatched. Tony Allen Fela Kuti's Drummer said Ginger is the only white drummer who truely grasps African rhythms, put that with his natural groove, and jazz flourishes, and you have a great drummer.
had the traffic album in the years of vinyl. so nice to hear it all again...nearly 40 years later...remember we couldnt see it then!!! scarey thought!!!
@Rickporgera Thanks for that Vortigern99....I might have to keep an eye out for the book. I'll just bet it's full of light hearted reading material that my 12YO can use to help guide her along on a fulfilling and substance-free lifestyle....or I can read it myself. Thanks again.
@gerrard8dg Lmao no he was probably trying to record every crackhead in the crowd lmao they look so stupid I would love to have gone to a Blind Faith Concert though
That's Mick Jagger at 0:17; so fast it's really two stills and you have to stop and start it to see both.

Gone are the days when groups had drummers that you would talk about in the pub with your mates. These days nobody even knows the drummers names

My favorite Blind Faith song. Steve Winwood is great and talented. There is so much good stuff on Youtube for him and Traffic.
