  • shes ma inpiration her voice is so clear like an angel's

  • Old school gamers would remember this song being the Bridge Zone theme in Sonic the Hedgehog 8bit.

Not hating, just it's awesome especially when Michael Jackson helped develop Sonic's music. Still love this song after all these years.

  • When I was really young I would listen to this and it was my favorite song...just came across this now and a wave of nostalgia just hit me. Love this so much<3

  • My favorite Janet song :]

  • How can anyone dislike this song its sad but happy at the same time.

  • Why doesn't Janet want to perform this as a tribute to Michael.

  • ....

  • This song is incredibly nostalgic for some reason. I somehow remember listening to it a lot when I was really young.

  • im singing this on the voice if i get picked :) god bless you janet :) i cant wait

  • "for educational purposes" ? lol

  • I'm definitely mentally dedicating this song to Michael, and a few other dear souls who I've recently lost. . .no doubt, we WILL be together again ^_^

  • I love this song such a great fun beat and the lyrics are so pretty. Always takes me back to when I was younger living in Philly..

  • Everytime I hear this song, it instantly reminds me of one of the english songs from the anime Tenchi Muyo. :)

  • Aside from the "Hey, that's Bridge Zone", this is a pretty unremarkable and forgettable track. Show us yer nip!

  • This songs takes on a new meaning nowadays.......

  • This song was being played in the radio at the moment when i was borning.i hope you see what i mean, i have been learning english only for half a year :"DD

  • ooh, takes me back, used to love dancing to this at the club! Loved this song back then and still love it today. Miss Janet is the best of the Jackson bunch.

  • I love this song! I play it on my ipod all the time. It takes me back to 1997 when I was 9 , and I would sit in my room and play lego's and watch VH1 music videos and this song would come on. Wonderful song by Janet , that is from childhood. They certainly don't have fun , catchy and simple songs like this anymore.

  • always been a fan...Team Jackson all day baby!!

  • @jujlebunny153 I was born in this time period so I don't wish it :O

  • the first time I heard this song I totally fell in love with and till today I can never get enough of it.....this song rocks!!!

  • This is my song for me and my mother! She departed in 1998 and to this date, everytime I listen to this beautiful song, I cant help but cry a bit... One of the most beautiful songs ever...

  • Melancholic.

  • i miss this song so much :( it took me years to find it, cause i only saw it when i was 5 or something

    <3

  • late 90's ftw and late 00's ftw for giving us this website to relive this period!

  • late 90's ftw...

  • @jujlebunny153 the 90s were great my friend. i think it was one of those magical eras. BUT it had its downs, commercialism, globalization, individuality, the loss of community. all these things started in the 90s and is part of the reason the world is so lifeless and fueld by money power and greed these days.. or so i think..

  • dedicated to lil nana, we carry you in our hearts...

  • This song is just soo freking good. This dance what they dance is so easy, i can dance it too...

I have even this song by scheme, with friends. : D

Sorry when i have mistakes in my text.

  • Thank god i was born in the 90's.

  • Dam... I miss the 90's like missing a loved one who has passed away.

  • i love this song :)

  • The meaning behind this song is so SAD:) I was watching BBC4 doc on Black Music Legends of the 80's. JJ mention she wrote this to honor her friends who past away from Aids?HIV and to celebrate them in a joyous way .

  • @tigerskiss1986 I lost friends due to Aids and been living with HIV for 23 years......I was so happy when this song came along.......

  • i used to listen to this song non stop when MJ died. love it so much.

  • sonic bridge zone, brings back memories

  • @RustyNex Hell yes! Sonic 1 Bridge Zone predates this, and since we know that MJ worked on Sonic 3's music, makes me wonder if she was inspired/sampled Sonic 1 MS/GG's track...

  • @EnigmaHood fo sho, the Jacksons were probably inspired by the game music and thought no one would recognize it if they ripped them off, but the Japanese took it in a positive way and got MJ on board instead of suing like people would these days.

  • I was 9 when I buy this single...I didn't understand a word (I'm french) I just loved the music and now I understand the lyrics....I just realize how deep the song is I love it more! (sorry for my english^^)

  • @pishi974 Vous ecribez tres bein en Anglais.

  • Bridge Zone Act 1

  • @jujlebunny153 Yeah I know today's pop made techno more sluty.

  • @jujlebunny153 i agree but janet also done loads of videos about sex:L

  • esto si es musica verdadera no como las mierdas que sacan hoy dia para marketing, this is a great music, not as the current music from now, long live the 90's.

  • Wonderful clip, dance, awsome dresses & landscape.

I can't help to see Michael in her smile:)

    Thanks for posting:) <3

  • @orena11 .Yes.I always think of Michael when i see or hear Janet. She said in an interview after Michael's death that she had dreams where she picks up the phone and Michael says to her' "Hey Dunk,it's me i am okay."He used to call her Dunk because of her junk in the trunk....Heartbreaking.I almost cried when she told Diane Sawyer that.

  • Sa meilleur chanson ! J'adore cette musique... Souvenirs souvenirs !

  • Timeless

  • This song and video were everything to me when I was little gave me chills then and still , this video inspired me so much

  • i played this at my babies funeral xx

  • It's such a great song, so nostalgic!

The chorus notes are verry similar to Sonic The Hedgehog - the bridge notes.

  • the beat is alright

    her singing is awesome

  • Great song, but it's a shame the subtitles take away from viewing the beautiful video.

  • I love the dance to this song, when i was a kid i used to copy the dance. I made a fool out of myself.

  • This song takes me back to the 90's. Rest In Peace Michael Jackson.

  • this is a tribute to all the people who died in 9/11

  • 1:47 subliminal messages about feces in this song

    "get a rug and poo"

  • when I hear this beat ... you must simply move to

    If so - thumbs up

  • This song was around 12 years before micheals death it was actually a tribute to her friend who died of aids who passed not long before the song was released.

  • @kh9234 Thanks for that information..I wondered who it originally was a tribute to.

  • @thebev1004 no problem x

  • lol i saw tupac XD

  • This song was written years before Michael's death. I remember someone DID pass in her life around that time. Just can't remember who...

  • This was the only song on the Velvet Rope that was worth a damn. All the rest of the Album SUCKED.

  • if it wasnt for this song, the album the velvet rope would've flopped but thanks to this song, it made the album sell 10 million copies. the first single got til it's gone flopped but then the second single together again was a success becoming a hit worldwide and gave her the biggest hit of her career. this song saved the album from being a flop.

  • Wow..."everywhere I go, every smile I see. I know you are there, smilin back at me. Dancin in moonlight, I know you are free. Cuz I can see your star, shinin down on me" this song makes me think of her brother...I absolutely LOVE both Janet and Michaels music, and this song is one of my faves by Janet. The lyrics are beautiful :) RIP mj <2

  • Fantastic song :D

  • Thanks! It's great for my students, they're learning English!

  • I love this song. I remember I was in 8th grade when it come out... :)

  • i think of micheal when i hear this ;(( i miss him

  • @muzicluva0 I bet she dedicated this song to him. I would have.

  • @muzicluva0 i think of Yuzo Koshiro and how he gets no regognition for this plagurised crap.......

  • I can't stop thinking of his brother...

I miss him and I love him and Janet...

  • 18 People aren't together again. I feel sorry for them...

  • RIP 90's:(

  • This iz such a spiritual song and I luv it

  • I lost my mum few months ago and when I feel sad I listen to this song and I smile... :)

  • i wanna get up and dance everytime i hear ths

  • Oh my gosh this is soo old. This music is in now 1

  • wow!! this video was always on the mtv music...hahhaa love this one!

  • Wow, miss this

  • Michael... <3

  • i love this video, it is so extravagant

  • cool

  • imagine Katy Perry singing this song

like a very low budge slasher film monster set on beautiful subtle chords

  • love this brilliant tune

  • Good song, but its sounds like she used a sample of adamski song as the intro tune though.

  • i agree,reminds me f my beautiful niece

  • This song could be about Michael, dancing in the moonlight with his star shining down on us. <3

  • @HeyThereDeelicious this song was release B4 mj passed. but yea could still b used as a tribute to him.

  • sometimes i do get emotional. when i do hear this song

  • @ilovezenyatta Me too, reminds me of lost ones...

  • sometimes i do get emotional.

  • i miss this kind of music. janet you are an icon.

  • I love this song very much.. I read once that Janet wrote this song for some of her close friend`s who have passed away - some young... A nice dedication...

  • 1:40 & 1:52 are the most beautiful scenes in this video.

  • I am sorry- if you can stay in a bad mood when you hear this, you need to just lay down, cause you are dead.

  • As for the real person she wrote the song for yes it was for them... But why cant it also be for Michael? He was her brother? I don't understand the hatred people have for him. The man was innocent and the boy who hurt him came out and said he lied about Michael. Tabloids brainwash people and should not be bought. A Little more respect should be given to a man who cared for so many and expected nothing in return. What he got he didn't deserve.

  • she wrote this for my lost ones not micheal

  • So Butiful...

  • she wrote this for a friend who died of aids - seriously. it's sort of been co-opted to talk about Michael.

  • was that janet double holding her boob? lol

  • I remember the dance well b/c i used to try to do it in my room when i thought no one was looking lol

  • I love this song

  • the MOVE janet makes @ 1:14. WOE. and who is the guy? sleeveless/golden yellow outfit. everyone doing the SAME dance move, yet he manages to STAND OUT. LOVE confident people with SWAG.

  • Janet is so amazingly talented! Love this song! What a talented family :)

  • she should have sang this song at the vmas in 2009 during the michael jackson tribute instead of scream. although scream is a good one though
