There are some wonderful techniques here but the constant foucus of evey 1's comments is about getting rid of chatter, images, sounds, etc. Dicenamite, have you ever thought about what these images/ tunes are giving you?. I wonder if your unconscious is giving you these as a signal for something - by metaphor? I would keep chatting and giving you a lot of visual/ auditory stimulus if I wasn't being listened to? Just a thought, take it or leave it :)
Perhaps at this stage, you should not try to make the mind silent immediately, but allow silence to come as a result of directed and managed mental activity.
Try choosing a mental theme that is attractive to focus upon such as a short affirmation or mantra which brings the mind into one pointedness. Breath awareness can also be used.
Thoughts will become less and less, and naturally the mind will become quiet.
This is the silence that should be sought, and it should not bring the nausea.
I've slowly become succesful at stopping the internal dialogue by detaching, so I don't fule thought. My question now is, how to handle the fleeting images and tunes that pop up?
Sorry for the late reply. Try to be the non-judgmental observer of all images and tunes that you do not want to embrace. They will eventually begin to disappear as they will not be fueled by your continued attention.
Are there any other exercizes I can read about to improve my ability to stay in the presence. Is there a drug that can help. Is that what ADD is. Mind chatter.

Hello,
Great video! thx. After a few seconds of quieting the mind, I get a really nauseous feeling and can't go on. Why is this?
Thank you!
