i discovered food guarding of my dog just today. my 4 months old labrador growled after i gave him a raw bone and chased him, nothing dangerous and he's cool in every other occasions, even then i felt pretty sad....

We spent untold hours and money with a trainer to stop him from resource guarding. This was at the height of his "lower brain stem" phase. He doesn't do this anymore, so don't worry, and please don't be sad. Kookaburra is a great dog.
