This "beginner" mission is a bitch. After a successful shuttle pass I returned to rw-24, made a perfect landing....even the secratary said "it was smooth as silk" and taxied right up to the waiting limo. "NO OW MY BACK" but still failed.

I cant figure this one out, do I need to land at the sights (shuttle carrier, ect.) or just fly around them??? plese help, I feel like a real FS noob, but I have damn near all the missions complete!

Okay. I'm flying this mission right now. I've buzzed the Spaceshuttle on the left side 4 or 5 times now, still they wont let me land. Am I doing anything wrong?

Do what I did. Do not pass the shuttle until it's brakes are applied after touchdown. Otherwise stay slightly behind and to the side of it, and roughly the same altitude, but dont get too low.

Okay, I showed him the shuttle lift, the Ospreys, and the B52, flew right next to the shuttle during its approach, landed perfectly back at the base, taxied all the way to parking, and it said I failed the mission! WTF! Did I have to visit everything on the base before the shuttle appears on radar? How many stops are there?

usually they will tell you why you failed. It may only be an audio cue from your "co-pilot" so pay attention to those. You can turn on subtitles if they talk to fast to see what they are saying aswell.

How can I meet the space shuttle?

I tried this mission several time , but I could not see the space shuttle at all.

turn the mission marker on, with compass it will point to it. The weather is crappy which doesnt help.

Hit shift E and fly upside down and dump the old geezer. Then land on his limo when he says there goes your job. That will teach him to schedule a tour on a cloudy day.

I thought flying into restricted airspace and being shot down would be nice.

That or cut infront of the shuttle and land before it, and have it run you over.

Anyhow, that guy is annoying.

Hi, nice vid..I somehow have failed twice on this mission coz of his feckin back problem ;) Anyways, could you please tell me the shortcut key to display the flight information and other stats on top of the screen in red print? I kind of dont remember the key..thanks :)

Press SHIFT+Z. The data has 3 modes: Line A, Line B, Lines A & B and OFF.

Press SHIFT+Z three times to have both on screen.

nice flying..i was never able to finnish this mission....but horrible landing...front gear touchdown first...thats really bad..would destroy the front gear in real life....anyways..congratz.

just save the game part way through. Then if you F-up you load fro myour save point, not mission start.

Its the data display. Press shift+z to make it appear. It has 4 modes. Off, Instrument Info, Performance info, and both.
