When using the hot loops which are recorded, if i take out the CD what happens? Does the music stop or the loops are recorded inside the player's memory for ever?
@ehsan83 if you take the cd out, it wont store the cue points or loops.... because it doesnt record the sound...it only remembers the position of the loop....
Are you sure? Have you tried the player? If it's true then in this case the Stanton C.324 is more sophisticated because it does memorise the loop even if you take out the CD.
To be honest with you i don't know what to take. Stanton or Pioneer.
@ehsan83 yeah i have 2.... Pioneer is a very good brand...i love my CDJ 1000... its responsive, its fast... it doesnt have any problems whatsoever... but the price of a Stanton and of a Pioneer is very diferent.... at least with the CDJ 1000mk3 you know you have the best of the best.... but i can tell you that i´ve heard a lot of good things about the stanton.
PIONEER-if you dont mind spending some money
Stanton---it might be more sophisticated but it might not work as well as The Pioneer
As you say it's a big investment to get a 1000MK3 but it is worth it. Personally i've already mixed with many types of players specialy CDJ-400 but never with CDJ-1000MK3
I am actually trying to choose a CD player & a mixer, this is why i'm comparing nearly everything from every brand.
I would appreciate if you could also talk about your mixer & your suggestion of the model.
@ehsan83 No prob.concerning the mixer i must say that the best mixer around is the DJM-800....i can tell you this with out any doubt... however....if you are trying to spend as litle as you can..you should buy the DJM400-- at least from the pioneer range. i have the 400 and its great... its precise. it feels accurate and it works really well..it has some effects and it works wonderfully. i bought this one because i had to buy something quickly for a party. but if i had the chance id buy the 800.
True i mixed once with DJM-400 and i was quiet happy with it. I think the only difference between 400 & 800 should be the number of channels & effects. Correct me if i'm mistaking.
I was also thinking about the 800 to buy. What really hurts is the price in Switzerland. It is something around 5500 CHF which is quiet equivalent of 5400 USD which is a huge price for me. Where do you live and how much does this set cost to you?
@ehsan83 I live in portugal... but i bought my CDJ´s 1000 mk3 on Ebay---- 1600€(two)---special price.... and i bought my djm 400 for 600€..... i dont know the price for the djm 800....
The DJM 800 has something which i find very interesting which is the color effects.... im almost sure that they are very useful for the perfect ,mix.... but you can survive without them.... buy the 400!!! and spend the rest of the money on something else....
for DJM 400 i would say that 600 Euro is the price but DAMN for your 2 CDJs you payed a really good price ! were they brand new? And where did they come from? I think USA no? Because it's cheaper there
review some vinyl decks sometime, like the mk3 and 5 techs some numarks etc .. some mid range mixers which the home based guys can afford, the ones watching for the most part and not ridiculously expensive pio gear which is what seems to be the norm on your vids these days
he's already done several videos on mix DJing and very very basic turntablism with a reference to DJ Angelo as part of the DJ TUTOR banner who goes into the basics of turntablism. Pioneer is the club and industry standard and whinging about their price isn't going to cause sympathy because there are alternatives to Pioneer out there that are more affordable for those who only got chump change to spare (like me when I started).
oh and furthermore this isn't a review of the cdj-1000 it is a lesson on hot cues. Have you gone to your local DJ store to check prices and talk to the people there?
then you wold know that pioneer is industry standard and any information on how to use it is valuable. if you've been DJing for 20 years I hate to think why you need to watch these videos!
lol..knowing a few club owners and just how they like to save a buck...or three, damn, who doesn't ...its not rocket science to realize that when Pio came knockin with free gear..owners took it and guess what Pio became "club standard" over night. ..not cos of quality .
I agree though ..ye man these tutorial vids are useful. sometimes.
oh and I watch because I like to see what go's on in dj world around the world , you dig ?
Vocal example: Just keep in mind that the beginning of your loop will come exactly after the end, this sound stupid hehe... If you record a vocal just sing with it!
Starting point: right before the firtst word
ending point: let's say you give it some space so end pint is 1 second after the last word. What do you have? yes, a gap of 1 second :)
Personally I really don't count. I know how looping works, don't use it much. But if you have a sense a rhythm feeling looping becomes easier. If you always hit the second button on the 1 second it will almost always be wrong, so You have to adjust pfft Basic example, for a beat sequence I hit the second button slightly 'before'the count of 1.
Hi Johnathan...I always find that when adjusting a loop it's much much easier when you use the search button rather than the jog wheel . as the search buttons only move the music backward or forward by one single frame...its also alot quicker..... practice and enjoy . . . DjShylo
Its a basic tutorial as he said.Obviously there are still people buying mark 3's and these little basic steps will help educate them.Give the man a break and open ur narrow little minds a bit.
thankyou this guy is ace x
