officer Thomas White was found guilty Friday of felonious assault with a gun specification after shooting a motorcyclist during a traffic stop. The jury deliberated six hours.

White will be sentenced on June 21. He can be sentenced to a maximum of 11 years in prison.

In the five-day trial, White testified he shot Michael McCloskey during a traffic stop, believing McCloskey was reaching for a gun. He said McCloskey did not obey his commands.
