I did not know that these people originally came from India. Many still look Indian! Probably they would have been better off if they never left home. I am Indian-American, and in America, Indian immigrants are known for being doctors, engineers, professionals. And shop owners, of course. Most are quite wealthy. Even in India people are getting richer. I feel sorry for the Roma- they have gone to countries where nobody wants them to be there.

@RomLink1 You can find a lot on this topic if you look. I am a Sinto. I am not Roma. That's why in Germany they always say Roma AND Sinti. They are not the same, but they are both Romanies. Romanichals in England are also related to the Sinti/Manouche group and are therefore NOT Roma. The same goes for Gitanos. Roma are a specific branch of Romany but even though we keep talking til we are blue in the face people still are trying to call all Gypsies Roma.
