When the kaiser was first comming out everything thought it was a really fast device, then it turns out it wasnt. Still, even now, windows mobile devices aren't as fast as they should be.
The kaiser has "256MB ROM" but it only has "64MB RAM" so its quiet slow. Mine will end up twice the speed for loading times. with less rom then the kaiser.
Having more ram does not mean the speed will be faster. If the game or app only takes up for example.. 24mb of ram, then on a faster device it will still only take up 24mb of ram. On a windows mobile smartphone the only thing that affects the speed is the processor. If the game supports 3d acceleration and the device has it then that will help too.
I just checked the processor and it's the same one as mine... the phone will be exactly the same speed lol.

also, I have 2+ years experience tweaking and speeding up qualcomm processors. There was a huge project going on where developers were trying to speed them up but nothing really worked. So I know what I'm talking about when I say the qualcomm 7200/7500/7xxx series are bad. Your Saga may be a little faster being that it's newer.. they might have tweaked it a bit, but the qualcomm processors of this series can't get too much faster than they are now.
its not a wheel. where the blackberry ball is, there is an optical mouse, as you move your finger across it it will move a mouse on the screen. so I have a mouse pointer!
the screen shows up, but after that point, if I want to see the next "frame" i need to move the mouse past that part.
for example, the screen loads, I hit new game, nothing seems to happen, as I move the mouse around, it "refreshes" the page and shows the next screen that WOULD have loaded but I had to use the mouse to do it.
ah ok I know what your talking about. When I had a windows mobile smartphone I had this app that created a virtual mouse, of corse I didn't have a cool touchpad like you, so I had to use the arrow keys.
On some apps it would do the same thing, where the screen appears to be stuck on a frame. You'l need to somehow figure out how to diable your virtual mouse when running stratagus.. I'm not sure how you'd be able to do that tho
there was this one desktop registry editor I always used, but i cant remember what it was called. However I just found a free one called CeRegEditor, you could try that.

im just making sure, you did Replace "195, 8, 0, 0, --- Tap as Right MB" right? not just add it into the config file? it will already have certian numbers and you need to replace these numbers. well if you do get it working properly all you need to do is hold the windows key and when you tap it will work as the right mouse button. without holding it down it will work as the left mouse click.
yes, go to options, and click fullscreen, fullscreen just flips the image, then when you uncheck it it flips it back. it doesnt really adjust the screensize at all.
and as far as roms, apps, cool stuff like that, go to xda-developers, thats where i get most everything. go to MoDaCo for games.
i also noticed u have a slide to unlock to open your phone (from doom video) is that an application you installed over dutt's rom? i cant seem to figure out how to add that. my phone becomes unresponsive after one minute and only power button or sliding it brings back the screen. sry bout all the questions lol

Nice! I came across this game for PPC today. The game starts and runs fine on my kaiser, but I'm having problems with the orientation. If I start the game with the keyboard out, the game starts in portrait mode, cutting off the screen at the right edge of the game.
If I start the game with the keyboard in, the game starts in landscape, but when I slide out the keyboard, the orientation stays the same, but the touchscreen is rotated 90 degrees :(
yeah i was having that problem too. a lot of games are gonna do it if the author hasnt already corrected the issue, I havnt spent enough time trying to fix it, but i just play without the keyboard open, seems to work fine, unless i wanna use the keyboard.
mikee, i saw in some reviews that there were no good video drivers on this phone. Are the released or are they still missing? Coz it runs pretty smooth on ur mobile
D3D drivers were just released a couple days ago! however this will only accelerate programs/games that use D3D. any 2D games it will have no effect. This port of warcraft II doesnt require much CPU power, so that is why it's so smoothe on my phone, meaning it is guarenteed to be smoothe on any other pocket pc lol.
my movies have always seemed to work fine, especially using tcpmp or coreplayer, I have a faster rom so it's not the gay stock AT&T rom. movies work fine for me. all i mostly put on is converted youtube videos.
yeah i get my roms from xda. if they see you have a different rom they will find this a reason to say you have lost your warranty, so if for any reason you need to send your tilt back then make sure to flash the AT&T rom. i had to send mine back when the screen mysterously broke.
its neither ARM or XSCALE, it's Qualcomm. It should work with both ARM and XSCALE. I dont know this for sure but ARM should work on XSCALE and XSCALE should work on ARM, however they offer these different versions because it will run faster on the one it's made for, being that you never see a "qualcomm" version of anything, it cant take advantage of anything, so it's slow with just about everything.
I guarentee you, an app made for arm will run faster on an arm processor than qualcomm would.

its a port. windows mobile cant just regognize any PC application or .exe. You have to compile it into a windows mobile .exe.
You could call it an emulator, but thats not the right word choice..it's actually a port. But yes, it does use all the same files the PC does except the main .exe.

nice. how bout the comm. manager? i tried to download the 10 button one with the #G switch on/off mode but the only problem i had was that i couldnt activate my wifi and i had to do it manually and i couldnt turn it off. let me know if you can find a good comm. manager
the comm manager i have was already cooked on the rom, i really suggest flashing to one of dutty's roms, its faster, and theres more rom and ram. my comm manager only has 6 options, it seems to be all i need..

well there is two modes.
dpad mode where the optical sense only registers up down left and right in single increments
mouse mode where it acts like a normal mouse, just upside down like.
remapping might not work, but ill give it ago, you know of any windows xp tools I can use to get to the phones HKEY's?

i was using the wc2 folder from the full release download. which contains preferences.lua
i pasted the pocketpc.lua from the other wc folder into my phone with the preferences.lua but nothing happened

yeah i assigned my windows key to the right mouse click button. go to the main folder, click on the WC2 subfolder, open POCKETPC.LUA.

that is my code. that makes it so the windows key when held down is right mouse click.

mikee, i saw in some reviews that there were no good video drivers on this phone. Are the released or are they still missing? Coz it runs pretty smooth on ur mobile

D3D drivers were just released a couple days ago! however this will only accelerate programs/games that use D3D. any 2D games it will have no effect. This port of warcraft II doesnt require much CPU power, so that is why it's so smoothe on my phone, meaning it is guarenteed to be smoothe on any other pocket pc lol.

my movies have always seemed to work fine, especially using tcpmp or coreplayer, I have a faster rom so it's not the gay stock AT&T rom. movies work fine for me. all i mostly put on is converted youtube videos.

Won't you lose your warranty when you use another rom? Are you using one from XDA or?

yeah i get my roms from xda. if they see you have a different rom they will find this a reason to say you have lost your warranty, so if for any reason you need to send your tilt back then make sure to flash the AT&T rom. i had to send mine back when the screen mysterously broke.

One more question, what CPU does the TYTN II have? All I know it has a Qualcomm CPU. But on some websites they ask for these ->ARM/XSCALE/
PXA and some more.

its neither ARM or XSCALE, it's Qualcomm. It should work with both ARM and XSCALE. I dont know this for sure but ARM should work on XSCALE and XSCALE should work on ARM, however they offer these different versions because it will run faster on the one it's made for, being that you never see a "qualcomm" version of anything, it cant take advantage of anything, so it's slow with just about everything.
I guarentee you, an app made for arm will run faster on an arm processor than qualcomm would.

its a port. windows mobile cant just regognize any PC application or .exe. You have to compile it into a windows mobile .exe.
You could call it an emulator, but thats not the right word choice..it's actually a port. But yes, it does use all the same files the PC does except the main .exe.

i believe those are the main 2 games that are the closest resemblance to Starcraft. Well hit me back up.

yeah trust me. those 2 games back to back are the closest thing to starcraft for your phone. the gameplay is really precise and it feels like your actually playing on a pc.

no nothing lags for me. hey did you need any plug ins or add ons for your tilt? i got the HTC Home Screen and the HTC Cube and i gotta admit, they make my tilt look sick. well let me know bro.

yes go ahead and download machines at war, its still good, but i think the other 2 are better. i still need to find a non laging version of Argentum, my "website" is temprarly down so i cant get anything right now.
yea i got the homescreen and cube, im using dutty's wm6.1 rom from xda developers. i try to use my kaiser to it's fullest advantage. i dont think i need any more plugins, i havnt found anything else really different. i got a new iphone emulator thing just to show off.

nice. how bout the comm. manager? i tried to download the 10 button one with the #G switch on/off mode but the only problem i had was that i couldnt activate my wifi and i had to do it manually and i couldnt turn it off. let me know if you can find a good comm. manager

the comm manager i have was already cooked on the rom, i really suggest flashing to one of dutty's roms, its faster, and theres more rom and ram. my comm manager only has 6 options, it seems to be all i need..
