@gotentk4 : I heard they do dubbing for most ancient series because of the environment, time restrains of filming, the actors' schedules, and different accents of the actors. Also sometimes, when they film, there are a lot of fans or crew around so they would film silent and go over it with sound effects and dubbing. If the actors have extra time to dubbed their own voices then they could; otherwise, it's done by someone else..

@winterfullofsnow : Rarely do Mainland china series have English subs. You can find some on yesasia, but they are only available after the drama series is done airing.. I believe.
