Ed Wood Jr. might have been incompetent but at least he loved what he was doing. His movies have heart, if not talent. Compare that to a director like Michael Bey (Pearl Harbor, The Transformer movies), who only cares about the box office gross. I'll take Eddie any day over that.

Edward D. Wood Jr. had no sense of how one do make a movie. His directing was disasterous, acting was terrible, his producing was horrible and his scripts were awful. Yet I find amusement in his films, they are indeed so fantasticly bad that they become funny.

Actually I bet Ed Wood would have done a lot better if he had the money. There's an audience for well produced expensive crap as well. Hey,look at Michael Bay. Ed Wood's films were not meant to be preachy or viewed as art but cheap entertainment. Ed Wood at least dared portray transvestites long before others did. Kurt Wimmer makes Ed Wood look like Martin Scorsese in comparison.

Well done! I remember the first time that I watched "Plan 9". Back in the sixties, my parents actually stayed up late one night and watched the late night horror show with me in Atlanta . We fell for the film hook, line and sinker, thinking it was supposed to be serious and when it reached the part where the old Bela in his tiny ass LA house was about to die and was hit by a car, we all erupted with laughter that the film was so stupid, funny, and great at the same time.
