i think this album and star IV are the best of C&C. i like their tunes that lead more to prog rock and have the layers of different instruments. its just epic
@haggariah I actually enjoyed YOTBR. The only song I had to protest against was Guns of Summer, I couldn't get into all the keyboards in the background, the rest of the songs were great, and it really does bring a nice beginning to the Amory Wars.

A lot of their older stuff used to be like 2 power chords throughout there songs on sstb but as they progressed they had some crazy riffs in their songs
Yeah, it's a recurring theme of how Claudio in the story has a hard time dealing with why he has to be the one to lose his family and ultimately the responsibility of destroying the entire Keywork, effectively breaking up the universe.
He's a teenage kid, and as with all (me included), he's questioning why he has to have these situations thrust upon him instead of someone else.
Also, the transition from The Reaping-->NWFT is simply amazing.
What did I do to deserve...has to be my favorite lyric throughout the whole discography. To me, it just portrays the helplessness, the acceptance, everything is summed up in those words, to me. I can also relate...

I just never really liked many of their songs. 'Most every song on this album rocked, and "Welcome Home" was awesome, but I didn't enjoy much more than that.
i agree, this entire album is their best. people don't understand talent. they say, "why don't they stick to the sound of second stage? they were more fun back then!" I disagree, i think they've evolved and created a compelling story. Little do most Coheed fans realize, the later the album, the closer it is to the music the band actually listens to. So if there are any of you Coheed fars that despise this album, know this: You are hating on the very origin of the music that you are knocking.
definitivamente NO WORLD FOR TOMORROW es la unica composicion de esta banda que tiene personalidad, hasta podria decir k tiene matices de rock progresivo y no como las demas k hacen referencia a la basura de simple plan y otras bandas producto k es muy lamentable

I know you are russian, but "race" is a very sensitive issue here. For some reason, Puerto Ricans don't like to be called "african", even though many do indeed have african blood.
For your information however, there are thousands of Puerto Ricans of european descent.
Well as a puerto rican myself, I am aware of the different races that make up the so called "puerto rican blood". It's a mixture of three races. Taino Indian (hope I spelled that right), Spaniards, and African Slaves. But granted, one mixture is more dominant with some people. For me, it's the Spaniard part that is more dominant.
I come from Russia and everybody knows that Puerto RIcans are of african descent. I am not saying that is bad. But the the truth of the matter is that they have a bad reputation. They are always the bad guys in the movies. Remember Willie in the movie Ghost?

Not everyone has access to every band in the world, nor time to dedicate to finding new stuff (especially when it's underground). Cut the elitist attitude out dude - everybody is a fan here.
What are you talking about? My comment had nothing to do with an elitist attitude. I never said I had access to every band in the world. It was a question that need be answered by a yes or no.
SSTB was an awesome album. But there are others good like it or even better. You can't find them all. Assumptions lead to trouble, just rock with the music. It's all about a godd time. Now stop acting like you're the head honcho of Coheed and Cambria.
I started listening to Coheed after my friend Timothy told me about them. I started watching their videos, but never really got that into them until my little brother bought me Good Apollo, Im Burning Star IV: Volume I: From Fear Through The Eyes of Madness for Christmas. Since then, I've fallen in love with them. Dear god, I love it.
i heard about them, then tried listening to them, but only got into them when i heard IV...and certain other songs....now it's practically all i listen to
i thought i was going to be disapointed with this album, cause in my opinion the first good apollo wasn't their best work, but i really like no world for tomorrow so far. it sounds good =]
i'm just dissappointed that the classic melody that opened sstb and poked its head out half way through iksse was missing on the final two albums. it was the thread that held the first two albums together, and exemplifies how much the bands progression can be divided into two segments.
instrumentals at 5:30 are also wicked. off-time awesomeness ftw. also, claudio pulls off some geddy moments with panache while still making the style his own. well-played, gents.
god the guitar at like 1:20 is amazing. and claudio cements his place as an incredibly flexible vocalist. it never ceases to amaze me how unpredictable his vocal lines are. he rarely repeats the same exact melody twice and it makes me happy.
I'm a huge Coheed fan (or a Cohead). But I was disappointed with their final section. They didn't have a traditional hidden track. But fuck it, otherwise the album was PERFECT!
they didnt have a hidden track because its the last chapter of the story, on the brink is the best song ever created, the closing is the final cut jam and it makes perfect sense...

Dear god, I love it.

yeah..same here.
i heard about them, then tried listening to them, but only got into them when i heard IV...and certain other songs....now it's practically all i listen to

i thought i was going to be disapointed with this album, cause in my opinion the first good apollo wasn't their best work, but i really like no world for tomorrow so far. it sounds good =]

I must say I wasn't a big fan of Coheed and Cambria but No World for Tomorrow is pretty incredible.

Don't post bad about these guys you drooling mongloid. Claudio's a genius. Now go salivate on yourself while masturbating to Mary Poppins.

At least explain why you think they suck.

Hahaha. I like how people can bash great artists for no damn reason. I think the name butsmoker suits the fact that you like to talk out of your ass.

NWFT, mother superior and The end complete are the three most powerful songs of the album IMO

People go on and on about how amazing the guitar riffs are...they're not wrong, but they never really mention how awesome the lyrics are.

i'm just dissappointed that the classic melody that opened sstb and poked its head out half way through iksse was missing on the final two albums. it was the thread that held the first two albums together, and exemplifies how much the bands progression can be divided into two segments.
muffinblighter 4 years ago
im pretty sure it was in Burning Star 4 the first track...as a matter of fact go and listen you'll find it
RadRoker826 4 years ago 2
yeah. you're definitely right. i'm a douchebag.
nevertheless. i was severly dissapointed when i realized the melody hadn't shown up in this latest one.

No World For Tomorrow, The Hound Of Blood And Rank, and The End Complete are my favorites from the new album

when they played this song live, this was the most fun part of the song to sing along to...lol
RadRoker826 4 years ago 3
instrumentals at 5:30 are also wicked. off-time awesomeness ftw. also, claudio pulls off some geddy moments with panache while still making the style his own. well-played, gents.
seraph1337 4 years ago 4
ya the guitar in this song is neither complex nor in an odd time.
but i still love playing it.
smokeyandcraig 4 years ago 2
god the guitar at like 1:20 is amazing. and claudio cements his place as an incredibly flexible vocalist. it never ceases to amaze me how unpredictable his vocal lines are. he rarely repeats the same exact melody twice and it makes me happy.
seraph1337 4 years ago 4
It's not that complicated, i looked it up on UG and learned it in no time...
whitehendrix15 4 years ago
1:20 isn't really that complex or amazing. Track 2 is pretty sweet, though.
DKong1026 4 years ago 2
not so much that it's complex, it's just a very cool riff. very dream theater, imo.

I'm a huge Coheed fan (or a Cohead). But I was disappointed with their final section. They didn't have a traditional hidden track. But fuck it, otherwise the album was PERFECT!
Sing on Claudio =)
lot24 4 years ago 2
they didnt have a hidden track because its the last chapter of the story, on the brink is the best song ever created, the closing is the final cut jam and it makes perfect sense...

Thank you Coheed and Cambria for being the coolest band ever...
