Spielberg has said himself that if it wasn't for his long-lasting collaboration with Williams, he would have Hans Zimmer score all of his films. Besides him, I do know that he is fond of Brian Tyler, and probably Michael Giacchino, who, in my mind, is going to be the next John Williams.
May John Williams live to be 100 years old and die, not weakly in retirement, but still with a strong mind and heart using his talents to entertain the world.
nearly 80-years old and still writing score like this?! Maestro Williams continues to shock me with his skill. His age hasn't hampered him, only refined him to an unmatched level of intellect and maturity like fine wine.
