The only reason it sounds like it does is because that is what general americans think is spanish music. And don't tell me Europeans don't have generalizations about us. It is. They believe that in Colombia we hear Flamenco and Gypsy music, wrong (some do), but in this country we hear whatever we want to hear.(I don't trust the radio stations in Colombia)
